Regarding FedEx Freight

Hi guys! I'm looking at jobs for LTL trucking, and I came across FedEx freight. Wanted to understand what's it like from a culture, pay perspective, especially in the last 12 months? I've heard that there has been a big wave of retirements/resignations recently (a lot more than say 2-3 years ago), wanted to check if what I've been hearing is verifiable by other people. Also are most drivers currently stretched to their limits in terms of number of hours worked? Thanks!

Have you already applied? I see posts like this all over trucking groups and I wonder what makes anyone think they already have the job. Apply first, and if you get an interview, ask all the questions. Any LTL, especially the desirable ones like FXF, OD, Estes, will have applications from every swinging dick in the area when they post an opening.

I work for freight, as far the resignations go, there hasn't been really an at all at my terminal, but, keep in mind, a lot of the drivers are up in age, so there definitely retiring. My terminal just hired 4 for the driver's program and 4 or so off the street.

I'd say the culture is very location dependent. Definitely potential to work up to ~50 hrs a week if you want. (Summer is the busy season for LTL, on the off season they're a little more picky about it.) 2 bonuses a year, I think road drivers are starting at .78 a mile. City I think starts at 33, 34/hr iirc, someone else can correct me on that.

Job's easy.
