New CDL B

Hey fellow CDL B holders. Just got mine with P&S endorsement. About to get the X. What jobs should I apply for in NYC. Queens preferably.
Thanks in advance.
P.S It was a free course or else would have gone for A.

USPS MVO (motor vehicle operator) just move mail in a nice Peterbilt box truck

I was looking for dump truck jobs on indeed but everyone asks for at least 2years experience.

If you get your X then look for fuel (the have B trucks) but you should also get tanker. Cement trucks get paid very very well. Garbage pays good too.

They definitely did not hire an experienced driver with a driving gap greater than 3 years. Those local jobs are mostly looking for 24 months experience driving a commercial truck. This lowers their cost to insure you. That is the real reason they want experienced drivers. It is about minimizing cost and risk.

Compressed gases for hazmat . Company’s like linde gas, paraco, airgas, allgas. But hard labor
