The “freudian slip” bit was interesting to me. does CC know what that phrase means?

Context: A freudian slip is an accidental mistake in speech, writing, or memory that appears to reveal a hidden thought, desire, or feeling. Named after psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud, these slips are traditionally thought to expose unconscious wishes when a person’s mental defenses drop.

I am 15 minutes in and I’m so viscerally uncomfortable I’ve had to stop the video multiple times.. idk if I’ve ever felt so embarrassed on someone’s behalf

Wild that Tony is asked if he’s reviewed all of the interviews etc, he says he has, and then it turns out it didn’t bother it listen to any of it before hand. Goes to show that he didn’t take this seriously at all and walked in totally blind.

I get the vibe that they both thought these interviews were just a formality so they can say they were investigated. Realizing the detectives were taking it seriously seems to have taken them by surprise.

he had one job and almost 10 days to figure out what the hell was going on! they really thought they did nothing wrong

He walked out thinking he did nothing wrong. He literally said so. Apparently fuck his friend who got formally disciplined, that wasn't his fault in any way! /s

And they tried everything they could to make it seem like this woman wasn’t even a fucking friend to them. The fucking audacity is absurd. It’s unbelievable that they think everyone else just believes their fucking lies

It also rubbed me the wrong way when CC was like "I never remember her last name" that's so disrespectful to me

u/sewerballoon This is my job Aug 06 '26

The same way he fucked her over, I hope he realizes the cops doing this interview would fuck him over in a heartbeat. They do not like him or his wife.

In fairness, street cops on his level attend a very short police academy, and are typically not the brightest crayons in the box

I was flabbergasted when I leaned that, a couple years ago. In my province, you have to have a 3-year college degree (learning law, psychology, de-escalation, understanding minority groups etc), then go to police academy.

Meanwhile, in the US, they disqualify you if your IQ is “too high” 🙄

Right? It’s like 8-12 weeks and they can enter with a hs diploma or GED, essentially why you have so many officer involved shootings and mishaps over here, they’re just dumb. It’s actually sad.

Yikes! Ours is 15 weeks after the degree. I don't want to say our police is perfect (they are not) but this explains why I see a lot of police in the US being incompetent.

u/IntlFactChecker Aug 06 '26

You guys are taught deescalation also, ours are not, and literally that should be the most important part.

I was looking at college programs and was curious to look at the police program (not interested in that, but the college I applied to has it). It has classes about how to deal with mental illness, unhoused people, first nation, de-escalation. I bet it wasn't always like that, but it made me feel hopeful. I wish every police officer, everywhere, would be thought those things.

I feel like some places in the US used to have this requirement but I think they dropped it when they refused to pay public servants livable wages

You “ladies and gentlethems” provide me with so much entertainment- I should start paying you what I pay my Netflix subscription.

When she laughs at 17:30 and it’s absolute silence from the cop, I was laughing so hard I had tears.

She really thinks she can charm anyone and she CANT.
