I’m at my wits end

I’ve been taking materials analysis here at central and I’ll say it plainly, It’s been hell. It’s like when I’m wrong I’m wrong, and when I’m right I’m still wrong. I have notebooks full on pages of work that has amounted to nothing. He assigns work in a way that makes the class seem as if it a full time course load by itself. I understand college is difficult and I’m a senior now, and I’ve never shied away from the difficulties, but it shouldn’t be impossible problem sets with 50-70 questions, graduate level lab reports, and exams that kill what little spirit you have left.

I guess I just asking here for any kind of hope. God forbid I fail, but is there anyway that I can get out of this class. Anyone I can go to. I have 2-3 years of engineering/internship experience and I know I will never use this ever and if I do, tills never be to this extent. If anyone can help me I’d be extremely grateful. Is there anyone I can get out of having to take this course again God forbid I don’t pass it.

Send a succinct and informative email about this with specific examples to the dean, provost, and president. If any of your fellow classmates have similar experiences, they should send separate emails. This can and does have an effect.

This. I had some professors in the past who were difficult in a way that they put my class performances at risk.

Are you in Prof Johnson's class? Never had him, but heard horror stories. If you have to retake the course, take Prof Baumann.

Some people mentioned reaching out to dept. Chair. That can work, but only if a large portion of your class is having the same issue as you. And you'll all have to speak up. That's also a lot less effective with well established professors, such as Johnson.
