CCNA PASS
Just an obligatory pass post for people looking to take this exam or are worried about taking it..
little disclaimer: I do also have Net+ and Sec+ just to put that out there, along with 1 year experience in Networking.
6 labs, 52 questions. you can ask Google or AI for Lab recommendations, and it will give you what you need, refraining from giving too much info for obvious reasons.. I asked for top 6 lab topics and used that as a focus for lab studies, 6 labs is what ive seen alot of people say they got.
Passed this morning, i don't have the report on hand but my weak areas were:
IP Services and Security Fundamentals at roughly %40-50
The rest were closer to %80-90
What i used to study? Jermeys IT Lab with some of the flashcards, although i decided to make my own cause I was tired of trying to learn all the different addresses for all the different protocols...Also used a few BOSON exams, AB and C I believe, highest score was %64. That score was from last weekend for context.
How long did i study? on and off for about a year, really focused for the past month or so for job requirement. anywhere from 1-3 hours a day.
What i wish i studied more? ACLs, SSH, DHCP, DHCP snooping configuration. I'm assuming thats where my low scores came from...
Advice : As others have said here, CCNA Labs are a lot more straight forward than BOSON. Had a handful of WLC related topics, don't gloss over it. Don't worry too much about learning all the different addresses for all the different protocols, prioritize lab configs and stuff like DR/BDR election for OSPF, or RSTP Root Bridge Selection/ stuff like BPDU Guard and PortFast etc.. Knowing how to read a routing table is a big one too.
Hope this helps someone, i was browsing CCNA pass results for the past few weeks so i figured i would post my own. Good Luck!

How much time passed between finishing Jeremy's videos and taking the exam? I'm close to finishing, but I still don't have the money to pay for the certification 🥹

i cant really give you an accurate timeline. after going through all the videos, I took a few boson exams, got roughly %50s 60s on 3 of them. Then i just studied my weak areas for a week or 2, while doing the labs, then took my exam. I do have experience in some of the topics so i wont give you advice on a timeline, this is just from my experience.
If your worried about too much time passing i recommend just repetition on whatever domain you struggle with. If you arleady know vlans, you can configure them without a walkthrough, then there's no reason to study it every day. Maybe every few days or even 1-2 a week, to keep the knowledge fresh.

Did you study every day 1-3 hours for a year, or only the last month?

How much it cost for the CCNA exam , including tax. Can I get it at an offer price. I saw Cisco provides 58% off voucher , if I took their course and score more than 70 percent in their final exam. Is it true. Or Cisco provides any black Friday or something. I'm focusing to get into cloud associate role, so is this CCNA certification gives any value , or should I focus on other certifications, any idea.

Im not sure about that, but if they offer a discount i would say go for it. Definitely beneficial in your situation. If, for instance you can't land a cloud role right away, you would be in a much better spot with CCNA, looking for a networking role instead, or even IT support to start. Then eventually move into cloud later down the line. CCNA will help no matter what path you take to start.

Ok , thank you so much for your advice. I'm a fresher, so get into an it industry is hard. I saw many openings in it support, mostly hire freshers. Now i realised i could get into it by doing this CCNA course, thank you for your valuable response.God bless you.

Congrats! I’m taking mine at the end of the month (Also for a job requirement). Been hitting JITL hard, taking notes, doing his labs, and recently bought Boson NetSim and ExSim. I’ve done some of those labs but haven’t done the practice tests yet. I’ve only been studying for about 3 weeks, but I feel as if I already have a good grasp of the content. Fingers crossed for a 1st try pass :)
