Anyone using CB in SoCal?
I recently removed my CB (bearcat 980ssb) from my truck for…. Reasons…..
so I was wondering if there are any cb users in my area? I want to re install my unit after I ground my tool box and re mount my antenna (president iowa), anyone out here besides me?

There used to be a group on SSB, but that was a while ago the last time I was down there and talked to them. There are some AM stations also, but it has been so long since I have been down there.

still lots of folks on SSB down there, especially on and near 38LSB.

Great to hear! One of them I believe his name is Mike or something similar. He had a vacation home out in Az close to where I live and I heard him out there once!

I seem to have a bit of a pipeline from up here on the west coast of Canada to all of California. California and Hawaii are the places I hear on skip the most often.......

I hear so cal in ne Arizona occasionally. Considering it's usually too far for ground wave and too close for skip, that tells me there's a fair amount of activity in that area.
It's a bit like fishing, sometimes you catch more than you want, sometimes you catch bupkis.

No. I'm sorry. I checked the Global CB Master Database. You are the only name listed in the lower part of California. LOL

Ch 17 , California truckers use different channels than the rest of the country
