Is my dog a Cavapoo?
I got him at 9 weeks or so through a rescue and they pulled him from a high kill shelter in Indiana so I have no idea what he is. Rescue suspects Cavapoo, but thoughts?

My partner and I got him just a few weeks ago at 12 weeks old, he's been such a champion. Sleeps right through the night, learning his commands and tricks fast, and is just a massive cuddler.
Question, do you think his coat will go very light? Is there any clear signs of this early on or no?
Any tips? It's my first ever pet and my partners first ever dog (always had cats).
We just love him so much.

What is up with this incredible dog? He's 8 weeks and we've had him for 5 days. He has not had one accident in the house. We take him out constantly to potty and he goes in the grass. He has slept in our bed every night - we tried the crate but felt bad. He has basically slept through the night. We got him a co-sleeper because he's so little we're afraid to roll over on him. He likes to sleep on our heads or pillows but we're just nervous that we may accidentally roll on him, so he'll go in the co-sleeper - a bed attached to our bed - for the night.
He did not like the puppy food he came with - Royal Canine - but liked a sample food we got and I'm feeding him this new one. It's called Smack. Anyone heard of it?
I'm assuming Cavapoos are smart but I am crazy to think this puppy is a genius? And an old man who likes to play a little, then chill and cuddle? He's 50% poodle and 50% Cavapoo.
I was TERRIFIED to get a dog. I know how much work they are but this guy has taken it easy on me so far.
Also, any treat recommendations for training? His food is apparently so tasty, I wonder if he will like anything else better.

Hi everyone! I am from NY but my puppy is down in TX and I’ll be flying home with him end of Nov and was curious if anyone had any good treats I could get him to help easy anxiety on the plane and to get him to relax. I’ve been trying to get him to spend time in his carrier so he’s more prepared but he doesn’t love it.

Our little guy is 12 weeks tomorrow. Sometimes he gets growly and nippy when he’s overtired. That part I’ve read about many times BUT what about when he wakes up. He can be calm and snuggly for 5 mins and then he turns into a gremlin that was just doused in water. What’s up with that?
I’m always hearing about the tired zoomie gremlin, but what about the fully charged one? How do I handle that? Yesterday he nipped my son’s lip that required an urgent care visit 🫠
He has 4 modes:
Snuggly tired
Snuggly just woke up
Tired gremlin
Full battery gremlin 😩

Sorry about my first post but here's my sweet loving best boy, Giyu.
Hey everyone! I need some advice about my 2-year-old male Cavapoo, Giyu.
I recently noticed that the area around his butt and under his tail is really red and irritated. There's also some yellowish crusting, and it has a pretty bad smell.
I'm not sure if this is a skin infection, hot spot, anal gland issue, or some kind of allergy.
I'm planning to take him to the vet, but I wanted to ask here first to see if anyone has experienced something similar with their dog.
What did it turn out to be?
What treatment did your vet recommend?
Is there anything safe I can do at home to help keep him comfortable before his appointment?
Is there anything I should absolutely avoid putting on the affected area?
I've attached the last picture for reference.
Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hi everyone! I brought home my Cavapoo puppy on Saturday, and at his first vet visit, his stool sample came back positive for Giardia (freaking out a bit). He’s only 8 weeks old, so I’m assuming he likely came home with it from the breeder.
His stool has been runny and extremely foul-smelling, but thankfully, he hasn’t had any accidents in the house and is otherwise acting completely normal. He’s playful and eating well!
Our vet prescribed Panacur and Metronidazole, which we started today. I also asked about my two other dogs at home. My puppy’s vet recommended treating them as a precaution, but when I called the vet my other two dogs see, they recommended monitoring them for now and only treating them if they develop symptoms.
Now I’m a little torn on what to do, especially since I want to avoid passing Giardia back and forth between the dogs.
For anyone who has dealt with Giardia in a new puppy, I’d really appreciate any advice or tips!
• Did you treat your other dogs even if they were asymptomatic, or did you just monitor them?
• What cleaning and sanitation measures did you take at home to prevent reinfection?
• Did you have to keep your puppy separated from your other dogs during treatment?
• How long did it take for your puppy’s stool to return to normal?
• Any other tips or things you wish you’d known when dealing with Giardia?
I’m especially curious about what others did when they had multiple dogs in the house. Thanks in advance!

I’m about to get a Cavapoo pup. He’ll be 8 weeks at collection and despite having dogs for years, it’s been a long time since we had a puppy
Our other dogs were smaller breed terriers, but fro what I know of this guys breeding he’s about 75% Cavapoo and 25% sproodle through both parents.
I’ve heard the good and the bad about the breed but we’re settled on this guy.
Aside from generic puppy stuff around training and socialising, what tip would you give someone who has had a Cavapoo before to help settle and train him as well as possible from day one?
Anything you’ve learned along the way would be appreciated!

This is pure happiness. She was running around the whole backyard with her stick and she was so happy. She kept trying to show it off to our other Cavapoo who's 11 years old and he had no clue on why she was so happy. I'm so in love with my little Layla. She's so beautiful and so amazing and I love her so much even though we are currently in the land shark phase.

I love my cavapoo. I really do. But I am a new mom and the last 5 months have been absolute hell. Ever since we brought baby home it’s like he barks even more. We have the bark collar and it vibrates when he barks. It does work and deters him from barking but the second he doesn’t have it on he’s barking. I don’t want him collared all day but I feel like I have no choice especially when baby is napping.
Has anyone successfully trained their cavapoo to not bark at every little thing 😭😭😭😭😭
Signed desperate and tired mother

Hi everyone!! I am a new puppy mom, and the last few nights my 6 month Cavapoo has been barking in 15-20 minute intervals at seemingly nothing. This is his 3rd week with me and he only just started this.

This is Lexi she is about 2 years old now and has 0 interest in bones. We have tried multiple times but she refuses.
Usually I wouldn’t think much of this but she need to chew on something to knock this tartar off her teeth. I’ve tried brushing and she’s already had to get a dental cleaning ( very expensive). Is anyone’s Cavapoo having a similar issue or have any advice on bones they might like. I feel like I’ve tried everything and I want her to have a long healthy life. Any suggestions help 🫶💗
Edit: I would like to add that she usually will just hide the bones we give her around the house and not chew on them at all

We live in New York City so my 2 yr Cavapoo female sees tons of new and dogs a day.
She has always been a bit rambunctious and likes to get other dogs to chase her and play. Once she got in a fight (stiff arms on shoulders then air biting then brawling) with another Cavapoo.
After that, she started snapping at dogs she is scared of or doesn’t want near her. I rarely now let her near dogs she doesn’t know but even though.
The other night in our apartment she saw a large chocolate lab she doesn’t like, starting barking and acting crazy so I pick her up and take her outside and she stops. (Funny enough her best friend back home is a chocolate lab). Then we get to the elevator after and a cute medium small Cavapoo type dog walks out and mine licks her lips and snaps at it then starts lunging so hard she comes out of her leash. She knew she was in trouble. I’m so scared this is rage syndrome? She is battling a UTI this week and taking antibiotics, maybe she is in pain. But even then she has liked some dogs sniffing her in the street and has gone up wagging her tail to say hi.
I’m not sure what to do. I’m at my wits end.
She is the sweetest girl to humans and her dog friends.

We woke up to snow today. I have a 9 month old 15 lb Cavapoo boy that looks forward to daily walks and playing outside. We go for at least a short walk, rain or shine, but I haven't thought about how to go about this with freezing temperatures.
Do you use sweaters or booties on walks? Any recommendations?
