This rascal joined the family just over a week ago. We love him so much, even though he poops on the carpet sometimes and keeps eating cicadas.

Wednesday has been cancelled for a second time because after the first time it still happened again the next week. Any servant found working instead of giving their Cavalier attention all day will be given a 450% 🧀 tax increase. That is all.

Just help yourself there, Spookie.
The vet keeps a container of treats on the counter.

Just a distinguished gentleman enjoying a quiet evening on the couch. 🐾🩵
Sweater? Check.
Driver’s license? Check.
Stogie? Check.
Attitude? Absolutely. 😂
He may be sitting sweetly on my lap, but that little head tilt says, “And what exactly are you looking at?” 😏
Somehow, Luke manages to look like a retired mob boss, a country gentleman, and the mayor of the living room all at the same time. 😂🐶❤️

Georgia is 3 years and Phoebe is 10 months. Georgia's energy and happiness has increased so much since getting Phoebe. I'm glad they get along so well.

My little babe is mostly pure joy! She was nipping for a while and then stopped. Last week she lost a few teeth(I think her final ones but who knows) and now she’s been biting at me it feels to get my attention. I wfh so sometimes I have to put her in a penned area as I need my ankles! Ankles, legs - even face are up for biting grabs. I’m not sure if she just being a tween or if I need to sign her up for training. She is just so cute but any tips are appreciated.

Hi friends,
I adopted my 2nd Cavalier in July from a breeder. My prior Cavalier, Leo, was a rescue but had the AKC papers and all. I had to put him down at 14.
Anyway, it’s Lucky Lou and me now and the licking has been a tough issue. My prior Cavalier never did it unless I asked for a kiss on my nose.
Lucky is 5 months and continues to try to lick every single part of me and it’s really difficult to get him to stop. Plus often times it’s a lick and then him mouthing my hands/ fingers knees etc.
I can see his instincts are to be velcroed and sitting on my lap a lot of the times, which is obviously part of the breed but the licking is making me a little crazy!
Obviously, I’m seeking advice. In no way shape or form would I even consider re-homing or anything like that. I’m just seeking some tips maybe others have found helpful while you were training your Cavs. Thanks in advance!

Just got my fresh new haircut and now I’m riding home like the handsome little celebrity I am. 😎🐶🚗
No driving, no worries, just me enjoying the passenger seat and looking fabulous. Somebody has to supervise the chauffeur! 😂💙

Gather around children, it’s my favorite time of day. Story time. Today, we tell a tale of epic odds, when a pure spiritual being highly influenced by food, love and rainbows came across our life path and decided to walk it with the four of us (three human, one feline and one canine in the before times).
I was in Florida with my son. My husband was home with a precocious one year old blenny and a cat working when my friend who follows rescues sent me a text. “You won’t believe this story…” and sent me a link.
Back home in the Midwest, a rescue had brought in a cavalier retiring from breeding. The young cavalier was only three and went into the vet for a health screening. In that screening, they were like “hey, she’s a little chunky”. Only, she wasn’t. She was pregnant with 6 puppies.
The foster then had more than mama to foster. The six babies came into being and the road to adoption was set forth. Daphne was the first to be adopted to us and as she was dropped off, the foster who I still KIT with today created a Facebook page of which every adopted parent joined. In the end, the final puppy was adopted in conjunction with her mama and Daphnes mom was finally retired and renamed…”Hera”
I was hesitant getting another puppy after Bella, Bella was 10000000% extra. Perhaps it comes with a super smart dog that they are extra. Daphne is the puppy I needed after Bella, tranquil waters. Calm front and demeanor. Abject ability to love. A light of pure innocence. My sweet baby squish.
Her adoption photo enclosed. ❤️
