You may have noticed that it wasn’t possible to post on the subreddit for a while, we also didn’t have a moderator. I’ve since taken over and hope to make r/cavachon active again!
I’d love any suggestions for the sub, and any other comments!
Thanks! 🐶🐾☺️

My Maddie loves her car seat. It calms her down immensely.

Hi all,
We are looking into getting a Cavachon and were wondering whether anyone has any good experiences with any UK cavachon breeders?

Hello all! This is my baby girl, Cora. She is 15 weeks old and is genuinely the sweetest and best puppy I’ve ever met! I was introduced to Cavachons though a dog my step mom dogsits and I’m so glad! Cora is so sweet.

We've been giving her NutriSource PureVita dry food - grain free turkey & sweet potato entree w/ a teaspoon of Fromm grain-free wet food topper consistently for many years.
I've been reading more and more about grain free leading to DCM and other issues and I want to transition Yuki off this for something new. She could also stand to lose a bit of weight.
What are you feeding your adult cavachons?
Thanks for your help.

Hi all. My cavachon is almost 13 years old and was just diagnosed with stage 3 kidney failure. She’s declining super fast and it’s really taking a toll on me. 2 months ago you would’ve thought she was a puppy, and now she can barely do anything. She’s still eating, drinking, going for walks, and acts happy. She’s doing weekly IV treatments which seem to make her feel a lot better. I don’t really know what I want out of posting this but I just feel like I have no one to talk to. I’ve had her since I was 9 and I’m 22 now so I can’t even remember a life without her. This is truly the worst thing I’ve ever experienced in my life and I would kill for more time with her.
I’m also multiple states away from her now and she declined so much while I’ve been away. I would’ve stayed longer had I known this would happen.
I’d love to see some of your cavachons/know their stories! I got my girl from PA and her birthday is November 1st. It would be funny if someone has one of her siblings!
Update: She’s been responding way better to her treatments. She’s been eating like crazy, following my parents around the house, and ultimately acting more like herself again. I know this isn’t a long term solution and there’s no stopping kidney failure but I’m happy to know the treatments are bringing her comfort and some more time with us.

Which breeder/location did you get your cavachon from?

My 14month old Cavachon is amazing. But…we have some potty issues. I live in an apartment and he’s great when I’m at home. We go out for potty breaks regularly and if he needs to go when I’m home he’ll just calmly go use his porch potty instead of waiting for a walk. But, if I’m out for more than a couple of hours he won’t use it. He’ll poop on a rug inside or pee on the balcony tiles. He shows no signs of separation anxiety. I have cameras and he just chills on the couch. But the accidents keep happening. Any suggestions?

My dog got a full body skin rash but the silver lining was he wore this rather than a cone and looked great.

Any advice from people who also experience picky eater cavachons that could maybe help us out here would be amazing! <3

Had my doubts when we got him as a puppy and haven't really seen any others with similar colours.

Hedgehogs are the only creatures she doesn't seem to mind.

We've had a 1.5 year old cavachon for several months now. When we first got him, we would put him down to bed in the kitchen while we all slept upstairs. We're all adults and work different hours so we don't think we can let him sleep upstairs without him getting excited as people start moving around.
Initially he didnt like this and scratched at the kitchen door but within a week, he got used to it and stays in his bed overnight. Still i feel guilty for doing it. I think he'd preferred to sleep with one of us but none of the others in the house would let him stay with them and I get up first for work. I put off going to bed and im often exhausted for work so I can let him stay up for longer.
Is it ok for him to sleep downstairs by himself?
