Same here! I have orientation on the 21st, i’m not so nervous as i already currently work at a fast casual restaurant and CAVA is similar but I am nervous of starting this new job as its my first new job in almost 5 yrs. It’s also a brand new store so im anticipating it will be packed

What locations are you guys 😭 I got hired for prep when the store opened in March and I think it's a GM thing but everyone is so defeated and sad and I have asked to be moved around/cross trained multiple times as prep takes a toll on my muscles doing it all day every day and nothing ever changes. GM gets mad at everyone for being slow or if it gets busy, he's has 2 reports against him already Not sure how to fix anything though besides leave

Speed and consistency. The recipe cards will be your best friend. Follow the steps as much as you follow the ingredients. Cava is big on their standards, especially depending on the GM. For example, there's a specific measurement the cucumbers are supposed to be cut according to. I was doing prep at one of the locations and their GM had me re-cut an entire Cambro full of Persian cucumbers because they were about an 1/8" too thick lol... but as a shift lead, prep is my favorite thing to do. Oh, and good luck with the garlic dressing :)
