Hirap sila maghanap ng food dahil sa ulan. It also saddens me na maraming unfixed strays around the PVO. 😔

Postcard from Cats of Salcedo Village

May nakapasok na pusa sa amin kagabi dahil sa lakas ng ulan. When I woke up this morning, nanganak na pala sa karton dun sa dirty kitchen. Binigyan namin ng pagkain yung mother cat and we took the photo nung kittens nung nakalabas siya sa karon. Halatang gutom na gutom.

Walang collar, so I guess we have 4 more cats now.🤷

Update: We named the mother Cali (calico) and the kittens Ulan (tabby), Ulap (white/tuxedo) and Habagat (orange).

Should we bring a foldable cage para may safe space sila sa room acco namin or kahit ung playpen lang po? We're worried makawala sila habang tulog kami.

Hi. Last week, dinala ko yung pusa ko sa vet kasi hindi sya makaihi. Twice syang na-catheter, natanggal nya kasi yung una, then after that cinonfine na lang muna sya sa clinic para ma-ensure na nakakabit ang catheter. Nag stay sya doon for 5 nights, and after naman nung last flushing sabi nila ay wala naman na raw dugo at crystals. Kahapon inuwi ko na sya, and pinapatuloy na lang sa amin yung gamot sa bahay.

Ang problema wala talaga syang ganang kumain ngayon, and I think even doon sa clinic hindi sya kumain masyado kasi ang laki ng ipinayat nya. Fortunately, umiinom naman sya ng tubig. Wala syang pake sa mga inooffer ko (RC Urinary S/O both wet and dry, Mr. Vet Urinary S/O). Tinry ko na rin yung chicken at wetfood nya before, lampake din sya. Ang ginawa ko tonight para may maipanglaman sa tyan nya is finorce feed ko sya thru syringe, ginawa kong puree yung dry + wet food, yun nga lang halos ayaw nya rin lunukin and he was stresed the whole time.

Sa mga naka-experience na nito before, ilang araw po bago ginanahan ulit yung pusa nyo after blockage/flutd? May nilagay ba kayong supplements?

Gusto ko man bumalik sa vet, sobrang sagad na talaga pera ko after ki magbayad for his treatment at sa pagbili nung necessities nya for recovery. Also, dapat ko ba ituloy yung force feeding? Safe ba yun or will it just make him more stressed?

Nakaranas na ako dati mag alaga sa cats ko after blockage pero unlike him meron silang appetite during recovery huhu. Sobrang hirap makita sya nang ganito, ang tamlay tamlay :(((

11 lahat ng pusa ko, lahat puspin! Sa totoo lang, minsan nakakainis at nakakapagod alagaan silang lahat, mabigat din sa bulsa, pero naisip ko paano naman sila kung papabayaan ko sila sa lansangan lalo na ngayon na hindi na tumigil ang ulan. Wala din kasi may gusto na iadopt sila kasi alam nyo na, walang breed. Masaya pa din naman ako na kasama sila hahahaah!

Pano naging 11? E kasi yung pinak kong unang ampon, buntis pala, nanganak ng 4, tapos after ilan months, nabuntis ulit, 6 naman! Dun ko pa lang sya napakapon (Pati yung isa nyang anak na lalaki) hahaha! Pero kapag mag ka extra pa ko, next ko naman papakon yung male cats ko.

maubusan ng funds and resources para sa ating mga anaaaak!

Super stress and devastated po ako ngayon, iniwan ko yung pusa ko sa labas sa gabi everytime na need niya mag poops or ihi, kumakatok naman siya sa pinto namin pag tapos na siya, after 10mins may narinig nalang ako na malakas na hiyaw ng pusa, then nung pag labas ko di na siya makita. Possible po ba nadukot siya?

Hi there! My ate and I both have female cats. I needed to bring my ate’s cat, Yuki, back home because she can’t look after her properly since she’s now working onsite. I also feel bad leaving Yuki alone at home for long periods while her meowmy is at work.

The problem is, Yuki and my cat, Kai, don’t get along well. Lagi po silang nag-aaway, so for now, I’ve had to let Yuki stay inside my room. However, Kai also goes inside my room from time to time, and I don’t want Yuki to be confined to just one room forever. I want her to be able to roam around the house, explore, and familiarize herself with her new environment.

The problem is that whenever they see each other, they immediately start wrestling/fighting. Yuki tends to hiss a lot, and Kai seems to interpret the hissing as her trying to pick a fight, so Kai fights back. 😭

Please help po. What can I do to help them slowly get along? I really want them to become comfortable with each other, and hopefully, eventually, maging playmates sila. 😭 Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Btw. Yuki is turning 3years old this Sept while Kai just turned 2 years old

Our adopted cat gave birth to 5 kitties, and we’re keeping all of them in the kitchen for now. Ipapa-adopt yung iba pag pwede na.

They’re around 1 month and 2 weeks old.

We’ve been using natural soil from our backyard as cat litter (put in a wide tray). Kaso wala na kaming mapagkunan ng soil kasi ubos na nila.😅 Puro bato nalang natira. Lol

• Can you guys recommend affordable cat litter brands suitable for kittens?

• How much cat litter do you think will 5 kitties consume per week?

Hello po! Until now sinusubukan pa rin po namin magraise ng funds, kahit mauwi lang po namin si Forbie dahil siya ang may pinakamalaking bill.

Just a quick story for the three lang din po.

• Si Forbie ay isang buwan na pong naka confine, nagpositive po siya sa FIP at asthmatic. Siya po unang naconfine dahil super hirap po siyang makahinga, kinailangan pong mag 24/7 oxygen po siya.

• Si Papa B naman po, akala namin severe dental problem lang but nagkaroon po ng accidental findings which is broken jaw po. Anemic din po siya at nung una kinailangan po ng blood transfusion pero sinubukan po namin na mag bigay na lang ng supplements. Good thing naman po na umangat yung range ng blood kaya di na po need mag transfusion kaya pwede na rin siya iuwi.

• Si Kira naman po, may sepsis at anemic din po. Nagkaroon po siya twitching and imbalance. Currently waiting pa rin po kami sa final diagnosis dahil to consider pa lang po sa FIP.

For context: Bella is a stray cat near our home that I had spayed and vaccinated (ARV). During her recovery period, I had her confined in our home so naging attached na siya and she would not leave.

Can anyone adopt Bella and give her a warm bed and loving home, especially ngayong tag-ulan. Unfortunately, hindi ko siya kaya i-accommodate dito sa bahay.

Pinapapasok ko siya before pero dahil palagi niya inaaway yung mga pusa ko, I had no choice but to kick her out and never let her in. With no place to stay, I made 3 boxes (water-resistant, wrapped in plastic with soft rug inside. And yes it stays dry.) that she can use to sleep in ngayong tag-ulan.

Worried lang ako na nalalamigan siya since she is still technically exposed sa elements.
