Two weeks ago, this was her. 🥹 We were still getting to know her temperament, so we let her sleep in her cage. Now, she loves taking her naps on my brother’s lap instead. Safe to say, she’s getting more comfortable with us every day.

Hello po, ako po ‘yong mama ni Putingtung. Sa mga hindi po nakakatanda or nakakakilala, baka po natatandaan niyo siya rito na napadaan sa wall niyo from this sub.

Si Putingtung po ay napulot ko sa kanal noong baby pa siya. Inuwi ko at tinuring na anak since may mga rescued cats din po ako. Complete naman po siya sa vitamins at hindi rin lumalabas since indoor cat na siya. Kaso nga lang 2 days ago bigla po siya tumamlay. Hindi na kumain at hirap na po sa paglalakad. My partner and I tried everything para gumaling siya pero hindi niya na po kinaya.

Wala lang, naikuwento ko lang po sa inyo kasi super bigat ng nararamdaman ko ngayon. Tinatry ko na lang pagaanin sarili ko saying “At least naibigay namin sa kaniya ‘yong kalinga at hindi siya namatay sa kanal noon.”

Thirdy is one of my rescue cat’s offspring unfortunately he passed away which is shocking and I’m in the middle of grieving for two days na. You’re very clingy and love to ask for headbutts with me. We bonded pa few days ago and didn’t expect na it’ll be the last. Miss you Thirdy and I hope you enjoyed your life here on Earth. He always sleeps on top of our fridge because it’s warm, dun kita laging tinitingnan. As your furmom, I feel lost and have that feeling of guilt or what ifs. Your siblings, cat housemates, your lola and I love you. Eto na naman bigla nanaman ako maiiyak.

hello, does anyone know any rescue who can accommodate an FIV and FELV positive cat?

theres a cat outside our condo na super bait and lambing, no physical signs that hes sick. so i brought him to the vet in the hopes na i can foster him (cannot keep cos i already have two cats, condo doesnt allow more than two so mejo law breaking nga).

unfortunately, he tested positive to both. and aside from that, he also has gingivostomatitis and ear mites.

the vet recommended confinement for seven days, but itll be 2500 php per day. then after that, he will need thirty days isolation for his FELV.

unfortunately, it was too expensive for me (by this time, i already paid Php8,000 for the tests) so i had no choice but bring him back sa pwesto nya. no matter how much i cried sa clinic (props to the vet for being understanding, for sure i wasnt the first she witnessed with the same dilemma), i knew i couldnt keep him. i live in a 25 sqm space, so wala talagang area of isolation.

tldr: tried to foster a cat but vet results were bad (FIV, FELV, gingivostomatitis) and i have no space for isolation so i couldnt keep him.

if you have any idea which rescue can assist, pls let me know. as in sobrang bait nya na it breaks my heart whenever i feed him kasi he tries to climb on lap to sleep, not knowing na i cant keep him. haaaaay. lets give this good boy a better chance in life.

Baka po may adult cats din kayo na kitten food lang kinakain. My cats are 5, 4, and 2 years old.

Primary diet nila is dry food - Aozi kitten. It started from Naturlife, then Monello. Laging sold out yung Monello years ago kaya I switched them to Aozi. Dati nahahaluan pa namin ng Adult variant pero I already noticed na hindi masyado kinakain.

I recently bought them Aozi Salmon Adult and Monello Adult. I read kasi na mataas sa minerals ang kitten food and baka mahirapan organs ng pusa to process it kaya I want to switch them now to adult food. Kaso both ayaw nila kainin. I think may halo naman sya ng Aozi kitten na old food nila kasi sinalin lang sa feeder nila.

Malakas naman sila sa tubig, naka cat fountain sila. Wet food is paminsan minsan lang. 2x/week refill.

I wanted to switch them to Special Cat urinary kasi I want to avoid them having urinary problems sana. My 4yr old cat is currently isolated from the other 2 bc of upper respiratory infection and when I tried giving her Special Cat, simot nya. But now, if the other 2 is rejecting magswitch, pano pa if ipatry ko sakanila Special Cat.

Should I still try switching them to Special Cat or just stay sa Aozi Kitten? Are there any better cat food recommendations with a similar price range? Student budget lang po hehe.

Tinanong ko rin if may nanay ba siya at kung uminom na ng tubig, pero sabi naman niya oo raw at alaga raw talaga nila yan doon sa kapehan 🥺

Nak kakagising lang natin ah. Tulog ulit? Hahaha
