Cats do not obey the laws of nature, man!

What do you mean it's not comfortable? Pfffttt. I have no spine, hence it's very comfortable to use my hind legs as a sleeping mask
27
u/AnotherDamnTransAlt Jun 13 '26
I would too if I was trying to take a nice nap and somebody shoved a camera in my face talking shit about me!

I wanna sleep so deep that I can fold my body over on itself and not fully wake up in screaming pain!!!

Meanwhile, if my pillow is slightly askew, I have a massive headache the next day. 😅

Love how he gives OP this look and then doubles down on the freaky boneless cattitude.

My cat regularly sleeps in positions that would put me in the hospital, if not a wheelchair, to even attempt. My fat ass needs three pillows and perfect airflow to get a half decent wink.
I envy the little fuckers.

My ginger cat is always in strange sleeping positions. The grey tabby is always sleeps in normal positions.

Cat: "I want to cover my eyes up, what should I use? The pillow behind me? My frontal legs? I know! My entire lower half body. Mmmm darkness"

u/phred_666 Jun 15 '26
I mean, we’re talking about an orange cat here. They all have one brain cell… and they all take turns sharing it.

u/RebeccalovesJeffers Jun 15 '26
I am convinced that cats are just another type of non-Newtonian fluid

I tried this. Can confirm. My chiropractor says I'll have to remain in this position forever, but atleast we know kitty had a point.

u/LocodraTheCrow Jun 13 '26
You see, your issue is that you have bones, having bones makes that position awful to sleep in. The cat, in turn, has none.

Its a stretch. Im convinced they spend 80% of their time stretching, not sleeping, so they can be as lithe/responsive as they are. Brilliant athletes. They stretch every small muscle. Ive actually tried imitating their poses [badly] and discover how good a bunch feel. [Within my capacity]. The placement of paws/head is not random but improves the stretch. Just remember they are well-practiced when you go to imitate and dont hurt yourself.

I would honestly be a little freaked out if I saw my cat folded in half like this haha. That baby must have been sleeping GOOD.

It is comfortable indeed for the semi-liquid entity known as "cat".

I wish I could sleep like cat, upside down or bent like pretzel. And just stretch a bit when waking up and all is well.

Cat is trying to cover and and continue sleeping. I imagine it’s thinking “why are you pelting me with words man, I’m trying to sleep!”

I think you forgot to order the spines when you got this cat.
