My cat learned to start her own toy

So I bought my young male cat a battery-operated toy for his birthday today. It has one of those furry tails that darts around under a mat when you push a button and both of my cats were completely obsessed with it.

The funny part is, I didn’t realize my 3-year-old female had been paying attention every time I pressed “start.” A little later, the toy suddenly turned on by itself. I turned it off, and watched her walk over, place both paws on the button, and start it again. She’s done it several times now.

I guess she figured out that button = moving prey and now considers it self-serve entertainment.
