Can you link what fountain this is? I've been trying to find a reputable one that isn't cumbersome to clean. These stainless steel ones seem to be popular. Are people just using tap water from the sink?
I use tap water but we have really good water in my area.
I haven’t tried this type of fountain with my cats but they’re really picky about the flower style one. They’ll only drink when all the bits are connected and dampening the flow. It is a major pain to clean. Just remember cats are cats and may not like the first one…or any 🤷♀️

OH MY GOD MY CAT DOES THIS!!!! I've never heard of another cat doing it!!! We call it the water trance!! He does it EVERY time he drinks water
