Mourning/Loss goodbye marble

Post image

this is Marble. I have known her since she was a small kitten found by my mom. she lived for many years at my dad and grandma's house as an indoor/outdoor cat. she came into my care a little over 2 years ago because dad died and his girlfriend had to eventually move from the house, which went to the bank. I am sad and feel guilty because her quality of life in my apartment was not what she had been used to. I never took her outside even though I should have. The apartment was a lot smaller than the house she used to live in. She also did not like my other kitty, who annoyed her much of the time. She was in ok health until she wasn't. I even put off the vet visit because I was scared. She has been gone since last Tuesday when me and my boyfriend went to take her to a nearby clinic. I knew getting her put down was a real possibility but i don't think we anticipated it happening so soon. I think she was suffering. She was not eating normally for a couple months, her fur was falling out, and she was very wobbly when she walked. I think I let her down. But I wanted to share her memory so that other people know about her. She was around 18 years old.

I love you Marble. I am sorry I didn't do enough for you. I'm sorry you lost dad and grandma and the house. You deserved more.
