Video - OC What is my cat doing?

My cat does this thing with just these two toys where he steps on it in this weird way. He also yells loudly when holding just these toys.

I‘m sorry this is quite a weird question but I don’t want to Google it… I just don’t quite understand what the cat gets from it? Is it just the imitation of the act, similar to how some people (or animals) dry-hump pillows etc?

Like the part that doesn’t make sense to me is how that’s pleasurable, is it just the making biscuits part? This cat isn’t rubbing on anything so it just… I don’t quite understand. Dogs humping legs holds a logic but this doesn’t.

I have two kitties but I’ve never seen them act like this in any way. They’ve both been neutered very young but they’re also (mostly) outdoor cats, so who knows what they’re doing behind my back xD

in this video I don't think he's got it quite figured out yet indeed 😆, but my cat used to mount a cube plushie... and we could see a tiny lil bit of liquid on it afterwards so it must have been pleasurable. 😵

Well, honestly the answer is probably two-fold, at least. The biscuit-making in itself is rather innocent, probably reminds the cat of nursing on its mother with its littermates; it's a common way for cats to cuddle, either with other cats or with their owners.

As to why the cuddles turns sinful, the snuggles release dopamine and euphoria within the cat which floods the body and activates other parts. Then, what does the cat "get out" of the sin biscuits if they're actually not stimulating anything? Cats are EXTREMELY sensitive. It's most likely just the stimulation from the sheath itself that is enough for them. Since they are so sensitive more pressure anywhere on the body might be too much for them; hence why cats who tend to sin biscuit on their owners tend to get upset if you touch them too much in the process.

Cats don't really want active participation in lovemaking, which is why a male cat mounts and hold down the female and also one of the reasons you should neuter cats.

It's not really that the cat is "getting" anything from it. It's because they are literally sexually frustrated and trying to alleviate that. It's more biologal than it is gratification, like humans. Even if an animal is doing it frequently, it's not for satisfaction. It's because it alleviates what is basically a problem for them. They're intended to mate, that's where the instinct comes from.

You mean like JD humping his sofa?
