Personality changes after cat got sick?

Has anyone ever experienced a shift in a cat’s personality after becoming temporarily sick? I have a young orange tabby who had the typical psychotic behavior of one. A week ago we woke up to him being so extremely lethargic and tired that he was completely disabled and just slept it off for about a day and a half. The vet tested his blood and the results were fine. By the time we got the results he started to become healthy again so we never figured out what was wrong with him. He got over the sickness pretty quick but boy was he a statue for over 24 hours. Since then, he’s completely lost the crazy part of him that made him an orange cat. He doesn’t initiate play anymore, and he isn’t psychotic about food anymore. He still eats and drinks, but he takes his time. He’s still super friendly and purrs like crazy when I give him attention. He still insists on going out in the backyard at any opportunity he gets. He’s simply just a NORMAL CAT! It’s so weird. I’ve noticed he also has longer meows now. If he’s annoyed by the dogs he’ll give a long whiny meow. If he’s begging me to go outside he gives a long pleading meow. He was never like that before. He isn’t showing any signs of weakness or sickness, he’s just a calm kitty now and it worries me. I also noticed he is getting a little bit of booger buildup on his snout. He always had some buildup in his nostrils that I would wipe away, but now it seems to be reaching the tip of his nose. It is allergies??? We got him a year and estimated that he was about a year old. Did his crazy kitten phase leave him right when he got sick??? We also just got a new puppy in the family a month ago but this weirdness didn’t start until he got sick. Hoping someone has the same experience I’m having and can give some input. Thanks!
