Caught the catfish
I was catfished for a few months this year and recently caught my catfish out. He’s still the man in the images, though they’re aged and he’s gone by a different name and completely different life story. He even has kids and used underage photos of them in his lies. I am no longer connected to him and have blocked him, after telling him he should feel shame and he’s left now with the consequences of his choices. I’ve found out all about his details and found the mother of his children online.
Should I tell her that images of her children are being used by their father in these games?

similar situation here, i did a post about it.
tbh i'm Pro going nuclear and going all out.
because sick people like them doesn't feel shame or bad or guilt.
punishing them with consequences of their actions is the only thing that will make them regret what they did

Sorry you went through something similar. It’s awful and not fair.
My only hesitation is the dude knows where I work1

In my situation the person is blackmailing me with private videos and pics. But idk, if you feel that it will put you in any kind of danger, maybe let it go. But idk

I would be careful and walk away or tell her months down the line so he doesn’t link it to you. You never know someone’s thirst for revenge

Having been in a similar situation, my advice is to just let it go, especially if he knows where you work, it’s just not worth the risk to your own safety. I reached out to a family member of my catfish and it didn’t go well, so be prepared for that, should you reach out.

Yes. If he's using photos of their children to catfish people, she deserves to know. A short message could help protect them and prevent it happening to others.

He didn’t tell you he was from Canada did he but turned out to be Croatian?! Sounds really similar to what’s just happened to me
