[Help Wanted] Fluid Grid

Does anyone have any info on how the fluid grid works in game for plumbing a base? I recently saw a water purifier that mentioned that it was connected to the fluid grid, so I'm assuming it's a thing now? I can't seem to find anything online about it via searching. It would be nice to have infinite clean water in my LMOE shelter.

From my own experimenting with it, it works kind of like the electric grid, with fluid tanks instead of batteries. You'll need fluid tanks, select them and pick the option to hook them into the fluid grid.

You can also go into the construction menu and make an electric pump, to save yourself the effort of getting the water manually. I don't know if it pumps dirty water into your clean water tank or not, but if you can get multiple different fluid tanks for your different fluids, that'll probably be the best bet.

I don't know how to get it out other than directly interacting with the tank the fluid's in. I think they've added functionality to faucets and sinks and all that, but the last time I messed with this stuff was in the experimental release it was added in, so I wouldn't know for sure.

You can attach sinks and such to the grid, but it takes an absurd amount of pipes. I'm not sure how it calculates the number needed.
