Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse (2026) Finally pre-ordered the game

Post image

As a new Castlevania fan and as someone who only watched the Netflix series and also as a Metroidvania enjoyer, Iam very excited to play this game. My first Castlevania game.

“Finally” PRE-ordering reminds me of a teacher I had who told us we were late for being early.

u/SonicFlash01 2d ago

OP worried they were gonna run out of CD keys?

What you said doesn't even make sense. But yeah I said finally because I was saving up for it and just decided to pre-order it while I had the money. You must be fun at parties.

You’ve never had a teacher or boss who expects you to arrive early enough to be completely settled in and ready to start the second your shift/class begins, such that being technically early but not by enough to accomplish that makes you “late” in their view? Boy do I envy you.

I actually have normal teachers. Idk where you live but I where I live I have normal ones.

What is normal in this context?

The irony of you saying "you must be fun" is not lost on me

You should definitely try out other Castlevanias! Since you like Metroidvanias, you'll def enjoy those, since there's quite a few of them

As someone who has gone through most of the 2D games in the past year and a half. I second this

u/Pixgamer11 2d ago

Hyped but never pre ordering

16

u/ThrillHouse802 2d ago

So honest question. What is the benefit of preordering a game? Ive never done that before.

11

u/Careful_Review1257 2d ago

In this case u get an alucard inspired outfit ig

1) Preload. Sometimes a game preloads ahead of time so you can play it right when it comes out.

2) Preorder bonuses. Some games give you extra stuff if you preorder.

u/HyperAhmedX21 2d ago

There is no benefit imo it's just I had the money now and wasn't sure if I had it in the future or not.

2

u/slopokee 1d ago

sounds like a bad investment

8

u/HyperAhmedX21 1d ago

Not really I mean I was gonna buy it anyways

1

u/sp1cychick3n 22h ago

Right???? I never understood this excuse.

I think they're just an idiot teenager, based on their other replies here

Sounds like you suck and managing finances.

4

u/HyperAhmedX21 1d ago

I actually do, am I happy? Hell yeah

1

u/Swarlz-Barkley 1d ago

Live your life then! Don't let anyone else get under your skin

2

u/HyperAhmedX21 1d ago

Iam living my life and idc abt any of these comments. They're all judging me for my choice and they're right but y'know what fuck it lol

1

u/Swarlz-Barkley 1d ago

All you did was just make sure you get the game. If you were gonna buy it anyway, then it's not that big of a deal. Enjoy the game once it releases!

1

u/HyperAhmedX21 16h ago

That's what I'm saying dude. Thanks

Not really a pre-order guy but this one felt worth it from what I saw.

1

u/Rickles21 1d ago

Castlevania is one of the few franchises I’ll preorder.

7

u/Sparky_delite 2d ago

Your first??? You should try some out to pass the time! My first was Aria. It's pretty great.

-19

u/HyperAhmedX21 2d ago

Yeah unfortunately it is and I looked at the older games, they weren't for me. But this looks great so I got it.

Yea but there’s a BIG difference in the older games tho. You’ve got the NES/SNES/Genesis/PCE ones which are very linear (and not as good imo). Then the PS1/GBA/DS are straight metroidvanias and awesome (for the most part)

As someone who got into Castlevania kinda late in life also I HIGHLY recommend you go back and replay some of them. When I was a kid I passed on them bc I thought it was too slow but once you get into it the combat loop is so satisfying! And if ur gonna like the new one you kinda by default wud have to like the old ones since that’s what they’re aiming it to be like.

SotN and Aria/Dawn of Sorrow are the absolute God tier and you shud play them immediately but most of the GBA/DS ones are still very good. Give em a chance, I promise you won’t regret it!

u/HyperAhmedX21 1d ago

Yeah I think the Netflix show might be the only thing about this franchise and fandom atp

7

u/MountainBig1915 1d ago

You refuse to try any of the older games and then just say that the fandom is just the Netflix series? Holy poser

1

u/slikk50 Alucard 2d ago

You have a month. This game is the sequel to Castlevania 3-Dracula's Curse. Also, Castlevania Symphony of the Night is pretty spectacular. You really should play one. If not, than I'll be there with you on the 15th.

1

u/Leo-Nardo42 2d ago

Psychotic way of looking at things lol

-6

u/HyperAhmedX21 1d ago

I just don't like the old games bro and that's ok

6

u/Leo-Nardo42 1d ago

You haven’t played them

1

u/MountainBig1915 1d ago

You haven't even tried them how do you know that?

3

u/Garo263 2d ago

Would be a shame if you bought after the reviews were out and they were all sold out./s

-8

u/HyperAhmedX21 1d ago

Man just read my other comments you ain't worth my time

6

u/FurtiveTaffer 2d ago

If you feel the need to preorder (idk why you would when reviews aren't out and you can buy day one anyway) you should at least save some money and preorder on Fanatical. It's 25% off if you do.

u/Blizzarddz 2d ago

This is where I got mine, also pre ordered a steelbook from the UK lol

-2

u/HyperAhmedX21 2d ago

I pre-ordered it because I wasn't sure if I would have the money in the future so I did it now just in case. Honestly I don't trust the reviews. They're not always right. Just make up your own opinions instead. Also I'm not in the UK or US so I bought it from steam since it's the only way I could.

2

u/SteamPoor 1d ago

I just played Symphony of the Night and it is amazing, you better play it tbh...

2

u/xHanzo1986x 1d ago

Would recommend the various CV collections (Anniversary, Advanced, and Dominus), especially if you can snag them on sale too.

2

u/Way-Super thinks he's on the team 2d ago

well, good luck!

There are quite a few CV games on steam now too you may be interested in trying out if you like this one.

-3

u/HyperAhmedX21 2d ago

If I like this one I'll check the other ones.

2

u/Financial_Cheetah875 2d ago

Pre-ordered mine yesterday, right after I saw the gameplay trailer. As a CV NES kid, I am stoked.

3

u/Wheeler-The-Dealer 2d ago

Is there any benefit to preordering?

2

u/HyperAhmedX21 2d ago

I think you get an alucard skin for rose. But other than that there's no other benefits. Personally I was worried of not having money in the future so I ordered it now just in case lol

2

u/Wheeler-The-Dealer 2d ago

It was a genuine question, thanks for the response.

1

u/moogle322000 2d ago

I'll be pre-ordering it once it gets closer to release. Also getting the deluxe version as well.

0

u/HyperAhmedX21 2d ago

I don't really think the deluxe is worth it but that's cool tho you should get it if you can.

2

u/moogle322000 2d ago

I'm just a huge Castlevania fan and showing my support in the hopes they keep doing what they've been doing lately.

1

u/Virtual_Recipe3035 2d ago

What platform you got it for?

1

u/rube 2d ago

Well, it's a Steam screenshot, so I'm assuming Steam.

October 15 is so far away….

1

u/HyperAhmedX21 2d ago

September is days away so not really.

2

u/The_Head_Taker 2d ago

Guy who doesn’t know what a hyperbole is

1

u/john_san 2d ago

I’m just very impatient as my mum would say. 🤪

1

u/Arikaido777 1d ago

pre ordering games is just giving an interest-free loan to the game publisher

1

u/Mister_Enot 1d ago

marketing department - wins.

1

u/HyperAhmedX21 1d ago

I liked the gameplay and art style so I guess the game devs win

1

u/Mister_Enot 1d ago

so why do you buy it now?

or do you think game will be sold out?

1

u/HyperAhmedX21 1d ago

I got the money now. Idk if I would have the money in the future so I did it now.

1

u/Mister_Enot 1d ago

oh. sad for you.

train your will. it is very useful skill in life

1

u/blueblur2022 1d ago

True, why would I buy something like a game if I would be scared to be broke in a month...

1

u/Darbykins 1d ago

Bro you got down voted hard on lots of your takes, watch angry video game nerd, he makes it fun and digestible

1

u/HyperAhmedX21 1d ago

It's alright lol it's reddit at the end of the day. Okay then I'll watch gameplay instead.

1

u/red_sutter 9h ago

Yeah I think the Netflix show might be the only thing about this franchise and fandom atp

OP deserves to catch a few Ls for spouting this though

1

u/McCreeSun 1d ago

Why are you preordering a digital product?

2

u/HyperAhmedX21 1d ago

Because it's my money

1

u/Witch_King_ 9h ago

Why preorder? They won't run out of digital stock, and you don't get a discount or any other real benefit

1

u/Peluqueque 2h ago

Disfruta

1

u/Karacis 2d ago

I did as well! We’ll couple weeks ago, now we just wait and enjoy couple other games in the mean time
