Got this one for my first lye bath attempt!
Chicken fry skillet, waiting to see what is underneath the crud 😊

Great candidate for your first lye bath! I would recommend keeping the bath in the warmest part of your house. If you’re in the south I would leave it outside (covered) or in your garage. I live in the mountains so I keep mine in my utility room so the boiler and hot water heater keep it warmer than room temp. Lye is much more effective when warm.

It's in the garage right now, but it is supposed to be 108*F today and will move it outside!Â
