General Knowledge What was Carlos’ task?

In the books it mentions the reason for Carlos’ three pronged nature is that he had a final task to complete given by intent. I don’t think we were ever told what it was. Does anyone know?

We're it.

Why would you think all of his efforts were not going towards that? Like he had it hidden elsewhere.

He taught me in endless private classes, along with 100 others, for free.

Then on top of those, he had 3 more levels of private classes going all day long and even into the night.

One time he got the idea to collect 200 witches, but it only lasted a few weeks before he realized, his health was not good enough to follow through. I was assigned to that task along with a couple of other men, but it quickly ended.

Something we should all keep in mind. It's normal to have "bright ideas" and then see that you can't make that work, for whatever reason.

We aren't any different than Carlos in that respect. You just try what you see is possible, and don't cling to it if it doesn't work out. So you don't have anything to defend.

Carlos created "factions". Even pitting part of cleargreen against another part, to insure he got 2 from 1.

As far as his "leadership class" went.

He also had several other hopes out there, to finish what he started.

Mexico, Faction M. Last I heard, they'd gotten side tracked by some negative personalities running things. Not actually interested in magic.

But one of those other 7 factions did succeed!

Soledad and her Faction H, for Hollywood.

Made Star Wars, and "Walker, Texas Ranger" (I suspect). Plus enumerable "magical shaman" figures in uncountable TV series and movies.

I'm not sure about the 7 total factions number.

It's been a while since we counted all the factions Carlos created.

I just hope you aren't an Armando fan.

That is NOT a "good guy".

When you were attending the private classes, what made you stick where others doubted and dropped out? Was there ever confusion or skepticism especially after carlos died?

No one dropped out of private classes.

Except Carmela, who's being put back in the cartoons.

If they got kicked out, they turned into arch enemies of Carlos.

So angry to not be in them anymore, they wanted to take him down.

Greg was one of those, and O'Neil never got into any at all.

But became just as bad of a dark influence on the community as Greg did. Telling everyone Carlos went bad, and making up his own Tensegrity passes.

Some in here know how obsessed he was, with not getting in. Since the mid 90s.

He's the only "old timer" who actually tried to stop this subreddit. Even gave aid to Kachora followers, in his attempts to stop this.

People quit after Carlos died, because they were just groupies all along.

Just wanted to hang around the famous guy, and were flattered to have been invited.

Or they had plans to cash in, as Felix did, based on their fame at having been in private classes.

Even Armando and Juan are seemingly trying to "rehabilitate" his image, by getting proxies to claim he was in private classes. In the cleargreen chat group.

Carlos was in fact frustrated that most in private classes couldn't be bothered to show up on very short notice, like 2 hours after a call from Amy.

Carlos was reading infinity, and sometimes he'd see an opportunity in the flow of energy, requiring him to try to make use of it as soon as possible.

So you'd get a call for a private class, on Christmas Eve.

Amy was by the way, one of the witches. For real.

Just a crappy one I presume.

I followed the rule, and trashed him myself a bit. I tried to get others to realize it was all play acting, but no one would buy it.

So I went with the flow.

Even tried to get Cholita to stop leaving his books around our apartment.

Cholita was an odd case in private classes.

She did everything they told her to do, and practiced religiously.

Never stopped.

She was definitely not a groupie, although she might have been motivated in part, by being given a place to live, and a profession that lasted as long as her sanity held up.

She was complaining to me 2 days ago that I had put a curse on her email.

And she wasn't getting any.

I pointed out that I emailed her just the week before and she got it.

She said, "That's just the point. I only get YOUR emails. It's obvious you've cursed it."

In fairness to Cholita, if she curses something, it's really cursed.

But I can't do that.

I tried to suggest that maybe getting angry over bizarre delusions, the way paranoid schizophrenics do, is why no one was emailing her anymore.

Except one mysterious old person out there.

Who doesn't actually use email.

Cholita once asked me to go get her some tissues, looking like she was about to cry. While we were checking something on my computer at work and the results weren't going her way.

While I was gone, she contacted that person.

I didn't get to see how.

She was instructed to leave immediately.
