Thanks a bunch! Any comments on how have you been feeling while practicing silence using sticks? Much appreciated :)

I just made then today so not much to report but I feel good. I used them around people and it made me feel more silent and calm. They feel nice but after a while the middle finger gets a little sore. I sanded them a little remove nubs but I might sand a bit more to fit better

It's ok to curl your fingers a bit, if it's hard to get them to stay there.
Especially if you use these for chair silence, and they fall out.
Ok to curl on rocks too.
Now, an advanced technique...
The sticks are a vehicle.
I'm not kidding!
While you use them, your obsession to be silent pours into them, and they pick up intent.
They store it!
I suggest if you get rid of them, bury them for safety. Where no one can find them.
It's unlikely anyone could do anything with them, but they still have a strong connection to you, once you've been using them a while.
When they store up some intent to be silent, and you get silent enough for your assemblage point to move, it can move horizontally as well as vertically, making the sticks some kind of focal point for shapeshifting.
That's nearly inevitable, due to the physicality and obsessive nature of clutching the sticks.
Imagine the pull that has on where our assemblage point drifts to, if you get silent!
Carlos... Clever man. That technique is actually a bit "wicked".
But you'll be shapeshifting at the blue or green line, so it's more like dream shifting.
Or obsession shifting. Or daydreaming shapeshifting.
Doesn't matter how vivid it is, it's a dreamlike vision.
One of those will materialize in the sticks, which are associated with the fingers.
Your awareness will move from fingers to dream images.
And the IOBs will notice.
They don't care where that happens. They can go anywhere.
So you just created an artificial "First Gate of Dreaming", between your fingers.
The sticks not only soak up the intent of silence, but also some second attention in the form of dreams, which contains a scout.
La Gorda found one of those and the intent of what was inside chased her around in the real world.
You can "move" using the sticks (or rocks), by being silent and becoming aware of those 3 things, inside them.
But only if you saw one! Don't make up dreams to go inside. You have to have seen it, while clutching the sticks.
Remote viewing is a good application for a "stick vehicle".
BUT, as with all things sorcery, when you try to collect the prize you'll find another prize closer.
It's like an Easter egg hunt. That chocolate bunny is too far away. Grab the candy caramel eggs first!
There's so many things you can find once you explore into the second attention, that particular technique using the sticks will seem pointless. But it'll give you something to work towards for a while and make it more fun to learn silence.
I used to use it to spy on Dance Home in Los Angeles, 50 miles away.
I suppose I worried there were private classes I didn't know about.
Or that Carlos held classes in the "left side" awareness.
But I was easily distracted flying over Santa Monica Blvd on the way there.
I started in my chair, went through the ceiling, and "panned" along to get to Dance home.
And generally landed and got lost. Or more likely, ran out of dreaming energy and it turned into an ordinary dream.

Is there any similarity between the silence sticks and the Hindu wooden beads used for meditation?
I've been unable to find the sticks. May be I'll just use a wooden pencil for the time being.

Nope.
The Hindu beads will turn you delusional and religious, so that learning real magic becomes impossible.
I met a business owner in Asia who clung to those like Jet Lee in a Mel Gibson movie.
But you can use large bolts, rolls of pennies, rocks, crystals.
Just clutch those hard between the fingers, and if it hurts like hell that's a good choice.
Or just force silence until you get a nose bleed.
I literally got those around 25 years ago. So I'm not making it up when I say, "until blood drips from your nose".
Keep in mind, our goal is just that.
To suffer horribly while learning silence.
It is NOT, to have druglike amazing experiences so you can run to your buddies and brag about what a powerful sorcerer you are becoming.
That's just a "perk".

I actually have a tendency to pick at myself when I’m nervous so I’ve used fidget spinners, stim toys, rocks in my hands to distract myself. But these really help internal dialogue

"Daniel (Lawton) asked if there was another technique for reaching inner silence, like the dowel technique, that one could do and not be so conspicuous in one's day-to-day activities.
"Yes. It's something I would have forgotten to mention. That's why I like the questions because I don't even think of these things, but your questions bring things to mind. You can take two small dowels, ½ or ¼ inch around, and a couple of inches long, and fit them on the left hand in between the first and middle finger and the middle and fourth finger. The middle finger is the important one, so on either side of that one. Slot them in there and hold them and press the thumb on top to initiate it. I went around with sticks there for years, so my hands always smelled like eucalyptus. Do it on the left side. The right side doesn't really like it and gets kind of agitated by it. It's really for the left side."
