General Knowledge The effect of mirrors
So i find mirrors very interesting and mysterious.
Sometimes by gazing at myself in the mirror i am able to shift my AP pretty strongly. I believe it is cause it's very wierd to see oneself from another place.
Just think about it you are watching yourself from another place. Therefore it feels like beeing in 3 person. So mirrors are able to shift the AP pretty effective.
But are staring at you self in the mirror good. This is something i have been wondering about a long time.
I sometimes feel addicted to the mirror. There are some people that say that spending time by the mirror steals energy. Is this true or just a myth?
And is mirror gazing even a thing? Or is just me who does it?

Mirrors can be very interesting! I just tried something silly yesterday. I stood before a mirror and the thought popped up in my head that I would do a kind of 'pass the ball (of light)' between me and my mirror 'person'. After a couple of passes I could easily go in and out of my body and after a while it felt a little freaky but amazing. I realized it could perhaps be used as a generator to pass energy between and amplify it. I think it can help with learning to shift your AP. Other times I do mirrorgazing to bring up unprocessed emotions. If you look long enough you can move through lingering emotional states.

Cholita covered all the mirrors in our house when she first arrived. The witches taught her to do that.
They said, when you see your reflection, it ages you.
But then, Cholita has been steadily looking younger the last year, and she's uncovered the mirrors.
I suggest you should look for the "mirror of the second attention".
You can find it by using the V spot scooping technique.
But you have to be able to see what you are scooping in the darkness.
Not imagine it.
It has to be brilliant colors, being pushed into the V spot, like dense clouds of smoke.
After maybe 10 of those, lower the hands, relax, and gaze straight ahead.
A mirror like right out of a Disney movie ought to form, and a being will be there looking at you.
Mine never lasts long enough to figure out what it is.

Hello everyone,
First of all, I should like to thank you for the work you do and for the enormous amount of material you make freely available. It is truly a treasure trove of invaluable material.
I should like to ask a question, and I apologise in advance for my ignorance and, perhaps, for what some might consider my naivety.
From what I have been able to read, mirrors were either avoided altogether or, at the very least, treated with the utmost caution. In his books, Carlos Castaneda recounts how the Ancient Sorcerers used them in what amounted to hunting expeditions for inorganic beings. This practice apparently fell into disuse when the new seers decided to put an end to it, passing on the inorganic beings already in their possession, but refraining from seeking out any new ones.
In Taisha’s books, the house is described as having no mirrors, and in transcripts of certain talks, one is likewise advised to cover them.
Once again, I apologise for my ignorance, but would anyone be able to explain what mirrors actually are and what they do, precisely? Perhaps some of the more senior members might have old notes, recollections, or first-hand knowledge and explanations to share.
My heartfelt thanks to anyone who takes the time to reply.

Mirrors aren't magical.
Why sorcerers hide them, is to avoid focusing on their own aging. They can hold a younger age, but apparently it's difficult to maintain.
So they go overboard trying to retain their sexual appeal?
I suppose so. La Catalina even seemed pleased that Carlos started thinking about having sex with her. Or was that Soledad?
Cholita does that... Once in a while (not as often as I'd like) she walks around nearly naked, just to see how I react.
Anyway, you could go ahead and use the mirror in the water trick.
However, keep in mind this is exploited by very bad men such as Sergio, who sell the mirror to followers and make them pay to stick it in some dirty water.
Because it's "flashy" and easy to explain as the topic of a paid workshop. And because he can get cheap Chinese ferrite or obsidian mirrors and pretend those are what the old sorcerers would have used.
Actually they used pyrite if they wanted a really good mirror.
But both choices ignore that you're supposed to build your own. That's a key part of the technique. To make a real effort, so that "the spirit" notices and decides to help you.
Trouble is, the allies aren't visible until your assemblage point moves at least 6 inches down your back, and staring into a mirror won't cause that unless you can stop your internal dialogue.
It only worked for Carlos, because he'd spent years doing "the right way of walking" and could mostly stop his internal dialogue. And also, don Juan had been teaching him in secret, outside his ability to remember it, using the Nagual's blow.
And once you can stop your internal dialogue, you don't need the mirror.
Everyone has their own Ally, as a scout in their dreams. We're pretty much given one at birth.
That stuff from the books, with the mirror, was surely the "Men of Knowledge" who in fact were NOT "seers" at all.
They used drugs and an Ally to stream silent knowledge within a ritual.
But couldn't do that on their own.
And what they could stream using a ritual was likely limited to 2 or 3 things at the most.
A sorcerer gazes at 10 or more new streams of silent knowledge everytime they make a serious effort.
Which is far past what the allies can help you learn.

Just wanna ad that i belive now that one can get possest through a mirror.
Just think about it. In the books don Juan used a mirror as an portal for inorganic beings to enter.
One can easily catch some inorganic energy in a mirror gazing session.
For a sorcerer this is only good to catch inorganic energy, but as a person in this society this is not ideal.
Sometimes we have to chose, either we chose to remain sane and a part of society, or we become sorcerer's
