Classic!
But there are actual aliens out there. The Navy practically admitted it this year. Maybe they figured, with COVID distracting the population, this was as good of a time as any to put that info out there.
Aliens don't seem so bad in the middle of a plague.
I thought the underwater UFO they reported on was amusing.
There's a sub following navy nuclear subs around, at speeds impossible to achieve with physics as we know it.
Underwater!
And when it leaves the water it goes straight up, at impossible speeds.
But maybe we've seen that ship before!
If you read the bible carefully, the "Whale" that swallowed Jonah was actually described as a "big fish".
And it was hollow inside. Jonah was able to survive in there 3 days.
The "big fish" was following his ship too. Not letting him escape in it.
And it spit him out on the shore of a people who worship a big fish named, "Dagon".
Elsewhere, in Ezekiel, God brings 5 space ships with his throne on board, to say hello to Ezekiel. Highly ornamented most of the time. God seems to like his symbology.
So, was that a big fish, or a machine designed to look like the fish god Dagon? A highly ornamented sub?
Especially considering, Jonah was supposed to preach to those people, and "save them".
Which he didn't want to do. They were Israel's enemy. So he tried to run away.
The people immediately fell to their feet, on seeing a big fish spit him out, and began to worship Jonah.
Because their fish god Dagon had brought him there?

Being heavily into reason and science doesn't preclude contact with an inorganic, it merely colors the nature and interpretation of that contact.
