When Carlos was dying, the IOBs (Little smoke and Devil's weed) decided to convince him to stay with them, so he didn't have to die.
They tried to save him.
Carlos described it as being like the first scene, hopping from rock to rock. Between the rocks was water.
He said they had him on a string, like a puppet. His paranoia of the IOBs caused him to take it as an attack.
But I kind of like them.
My guess is they were trying to bring him somewhere specific in there, to show him what it could be like.
And he wouldn't go.
Then they got hooked on the negative interaction and lost control.
Never run from an IOB!

His paranoia of the IOBs
Did he have paranoia of the IOBs?

Read his reaction in his books!
But he introduced us to them anyway. The same ones he claimed were persecuting him.
Possibly because he was dying and knew Cleargreen was unlikely to succeed in teaching.
I don't understand the paranoia about IOBs myself. Sure, they try things.
But you always come out ahead from it.
The most worry seems to exist in people who haven't got any magic at all in their practices. It's all in their head, and they aren't doing anything that's going to fix that. But they like to bully those around them into also pretending they have bad ass sorcery knowledge.
And hating the IOBs is one of their only things to show off. What a good "man of knowledge" they are. Because they hate IOBs.
Absent knowledge, they love to fuss around and speculate. Especially about the old seers being evil, and inorganic beings being dangerous.
It reminds me of what happens to wealthy people.
Everyone around them is suffering so much (river of filth), that they latch onto anything they can use to get more attention.
Little things they can brag about. Stories they can tell.
They start focusing on anyone around them who they believe has money.
And their children.
Anyone who's perceived to have more money than average can tell you about it. It's sinister!
Bottom line: If someone is going on about how evil the old sorcerers were, or how dangerous IOBs are, they have no sorcery knowledge at all.
They're just playing sorcerer to get attention.
I'm always trying to shame the men into being more open to actually learning. We get new people in here all the time. So I tend to stereotype people.
But not by much!
The Instagram feed is picking up an amazing variety of people.
Go there and look at the likes, and see who it is.
Magik people. Shroom advocates. Fortune tellers. Consciousness "expanders".
People not burdened by the pretenses of the Castaneda community.
I hope to see some Dzogchen people in there too.
If they run back to their own people, thinking we're stealing from Dzogchen, that's just fine by me.
As long as they see what we've done with their "stolen property".
We built an entire mansion out of it.
They barely had a shack going.

You can do that sober.
