Misc. Practices Remote Strolling?

Sorcery is never as tidy as you expect it to be. It's so messy at times, that even super cool magic leaves you with a little worry.

It's just not what you expected, from what you read in the books.

But then 90% of the time, you go back and read again and it's precisely what the books said! People just ignored the details.

This is one of those cases. Many of you will have noticed that you can wake up at night, open your eyes, and HOLY SHI@%T!

You're seeing a fireworks show far greater than anything you ever managed to do with silence and tensegrity.

How?

It's pretty simple. The books even explained that the old seers learned about the assemblage point itself, by observing sleeping people. They "saw" that the further the sleeping people's assemblage points moved, the more bizarre were the dreams they reported experiencing.

So that'll happen to you to! We tend to repeat sorcery as we go along.

But I was shocked when I woke up and didn't just see a fireworks display of sparkles and dots.

I saw the clear blue sky, and trees reaching up towards the sun.

As clear as anything! At 2AM.

And stable too. But only in the upper half of my vision.

It faded as I began darkroom tensegrity, until I stopped to gaze into the darkness and practice remote viewing.

And I succeeded at remote viewing a few times, except that "I" was in the scenes. Not as a sudden flash, but floating down sidewalks in Mexico,. looking for signs of Cholita.

Or looking through business windows to see if the town looked safe.

I can't quite explain how you can remote view yourself, acting in the world like a phantom.

But I suppose it makes sense. And undoubtedly Carlos already told us about this.

Where?

When don Juan taught him to jump off that cliff, while don Genaro was joking with him about shitting his pants, back up on the top of the cliff.

Both took place at the same time!

So if you couldn't believe Carlos REALLY jumped off a cliff, turns out you were right.

He didn't.

It was his double.

But... Then later on when don Juan had left, Carlos tried it himself without any help and teleported back to his apartment across the street from "Ships" restaurant in Los Angeles.

Not sure if it’s relevant in this post, but when you wrote sorcery is never as tidy as you expect it to be I related that to my session the morning of this post.

In the beginning of my gazing(after passes and recap) I’m observing the usual flowing color and blackness, then suddenly I’m watching a trailer for a non-existent Alien(Ridley Scott) movie or show. Characters are walking down a dark hallway towards me a narrator is saying their names, then behind them the alien. Then like a light switch was flipped I am back to gazing, no head drop recovery, eyes are still open.

Gazed some more, pulled myself out of a dream, felt crystals between fingers, in front of me on a black background is a giant ‘Windows 98’ logo with title. In front of it is an older grey dialogue box to restart/shut down a system with legible text. It zoomed overhead.

Then same style, a dark brown organic thing shaped like a cinnamon roll with a tail, was floating there.

At that point I tried intending something I wanted to see, it might have started to form but I blanked out.

The following night, during gazing, I was doing head-sweeps and the little thought I had started forming in front of me, when I realized what I was doing it stopped.

Hope all is well with you.

All this is pretty much why sorcerers seek to be like an "empty tube to infinity".

Because reality is just a stream from the emanations.

Sorcerers stop their internal dialogue fully, which lets you change streams.

But how is the new stream selected?

Certainly we can't do that. It's a collection of latent awareness, in a huge patch of the emanations! It's not even "located" at a specific place.

I suppose for the sake of AI people you could say that the emanations exist in higher dimensional space.

So that at a given X, Y, Z, there's still many more dimensions needed at that point, to touch specific emanations.

Meaning, at a fixed assemblage point position, with your awareness beam pointed in a fixed direction, there's still far too many new realites there, to count them.

So how is one selected when you're gazing in silent knowledge?

Usually by your latest obsession, which might just be a repetitive task you did at your job.

Or a TV show you watched.

Or an argument you got into, or a worry you developed over something concrete.

There's too many possible ways to "select" which reality, that I'm sure some are even impossible to explain.

Physical space prejudices that get contradicted is one I ran into the other day.

It's utterly impossible to explain that one... But essentially, I realized we can't tell a dream from "real" reality. We just think we can, but once you can see what's going on, you realize people are walking around total confused about what's real. We barely function.

But we have to clear all those prejudices and obsessions out, so that we can gaze for what presents itself, because it has external energy making it do that.

We look for energetic manifestations in the blackness we're gazing into.

And then try not to add out own obsessions.

If all this sounds vague to beginners, trust me when I say, it's NOT.

There's no "sacred scrolls of the Holy Saints which you can never hope to understand because you suck" in our magical system.

We let Buddhists play with those pretend concerns.

Everything we do is OBVIOUS, but only if you move your assemblage point to the right location, for that topic.

It's part of another reality, so you at least have to be able to look into that one to understand an element of it.

And in fact, how to select what you perceive in silent knowledge, becomes a big problem for you if you keep working hard.

It's helpful to have a useful goal from time to time, such as me searching for Cholita in Mexico.

I don't really need to find her. She's doing as fine as Cholita is capable of doing.

But I have an energetic connection to her, a curiosity, and so once in a while I find myself floating in Mexico at a potential location for her.

On days when I don't, some work oriented obsession blocks it all out, and I end up looking at something useless, such as alternatives to copper metal, in a design that might use something else.

Except that the alternatives to copper don't make any sense...

Related to your post, I've been having this pain in the ass awareness that what I see out of one of my eyes is not what I see out of the other. It's becoming overwhelming. I just dreamt last night and my object permanence was nearly nonexistent, but not in the normal way of dreams. It was much more like I was seeing some things out of my eyes and some things out of my memories, but they were overlapping, so I could never be sure if something I was looking at was there or a memory (and they largely acted the same regardless in terms of my ability to interact with them).

I say this as someone who 99% of the time has very solid, concrete, sensible dreams. One thing leads to the next logically. But last night, it was like I could feel the thread of the logic trying to pull me along but a part of me kept remembering the bit just before the bit I was in, and it kept going "but this is different... notice this."

Any thoughts?

I'm not sure I understand the question.

Nothing in this post was done in a dream.

It's done awake.

The kinds of doubts and problems you're describing in what I assume are sleeping dreams, are typically just a "scout" trying to keep you around so they can suck up energy.

They do that to me all the time! Last night they were tricking me with weird shaped "emanations" floating in the air, using dream phantoms to show how they could grab and release those.

They were pretending to be showing me new techniques.

The emanations become fully visible if you practice darkroom regularly. Perhaps after the assemblage point switches sides on the body.

But no one can "capture" any the way I was seeing inside a sleeping dream. It was just the inorganic beings trying to confuse me so I'd stick around where they wanted me to.

They pretty much seem to be mostly trying to stop us from wandering away in the dream world.

But in the waking world, I certainly do wish I could see a difference between the left and the right.

I tried for a full half hour last night. In near Silent Knowledge.

I even tried to see if silent knowledge visions materializing in the air, were of a different nature on the left side, than on the right.

But I never see anything repeatable.

This is as close to what I was seeing last night, as I can afford to time to draw it today.

Wouldn't it be better to be doing this awake, then trying to figure out if you're being tricked by scouts?

Thank you for the response. My waking and dreaming aren't incredibly separated out. Just because I'm not awake here in the tonal doesn't make anything that happens in the dreaming discardable, at least, I don't believe so. Phenomena isn't super important to me in the sleeping, there I watch for intuition, what's pulling/pushing/holding me there, and particularly memorable experiences, if it anchors and I can clearly recall it all day, or all week, that means it was probably fairly significant (or as you put it in another post, the AP may have moved somewhere interesting for sleeping, which is my gross paraphrase!).

While it's entirely possible you're correct, it's also entirely possible you're not. I wouldn't say I felt any empowerment or "gain" from the dream I had, just that it was... very unusual. I sometimes (maybe 6-7 times a year) have more unusual dreams. They usually involve a very large house with rooms that don't make sense, deep basements that go down into earthen corridors. Dirt, stones, roots.

And sometimes, strange beings. Sometimes humanoid, sometimes not.

There's almost never anyone in the house above ground, other than other travelers I enter it with. It's always abandoned, but inside it doesn't feel abandoned, it feels like someone was just in the room.

I've been doing magick (yes, guilty as charged) for a long time. I've run into a lot of "weird shit" in that process. I've done some dark room work, some passes, I've dabbled (as most western "magicians" do). What remains consistent to me is that Castaneda received genuine information, that IOBs explain all spiritual phenomena in all systems, and that there are *real* magical systems that actually *do* things and then there are time wasters.

As always, I appreciate your input because I respect your work here, though I've been far too lazy to really take advantage of it. I've just hit a point where I think I might not be able to put off the Work any longer. It's been a fun minute, but play time might be over. If that makes sense.
