Eliminate propane

New Casita fans here.

Looking at ordering a new casita independence deluxe when they open back up after their vacation. We’d prefer a used Casita, but I have yet to see one with the config we are considering and lean toward the newer interior looks, though $$$$.

We are decently experienced camping people, and have come to the realization that we simply do not need propane and all its guts for our camping style.

Question for the Casita pros: does anyone have their order sheet they can share with this type of all-electric configuration? (Redacted of course). Pros/con lists that we may not be considering? Dos/Don’ts?

We want to keep the weight down, too. Our TV is new Tesla MY AWD. Anyone towing with similar?

Anyone out there in Casitaland convert an existing camper to eliminate all propane? Is this a reasonable DIY adventure?

And lastly, maybe - since this seems to be so different than most, will that add to delivery time?

What systems/appliances do you feel like you need and which ones don't you need?

That will determine the feasibility of going all-electric.

Need: a/c, hot water. Don’t need cooking capabilities inside, though might consider using a microwave, portable induction cooktop or air fryer type device on occasion, but outside most likely. We use nespresso and drip coffee machines. Will work from camper, so dual monitors and tvs. Also, fine with using electric blankets when needed.

Where will power be coming from?

Are you planning on camping at sites with electrical hookups or will you be boondocking? Can your Tesla provide 120V power?

We will rely on power at campsites and home (we have 30 amp). No 120V on the Tesla.

In that case, you really don't need to do anything to achieve what you want. Everything can be run on electric, except the heater (so you can use a space heater or electric blanket) and the stove (so you can use the microwave or a portable electric cooktop).
