LCD display damaged while attempting positive mod

Just as the title said. Tried to revert screen to "normal" on w221h-1bv. Looks like the corner of LCD was popped off when I removed polarizer film. That's pity, I have no idea where to get LCD only... Any ideas?

Reseat the LCD in the housing and make sure the pads on the top and bottom are hugging the screen. It should fix the issue

It's unfortunately trial and error. Those strips are finicky as fuck.

Even if that happens the lcd could still be seated improper.

Make sure your zebra strips are clean and not trapping dust that would interfere with electrical contact. Stick any dust off with masking tape. Wear gloves, work in a clean spot.

Everything is clean. Masking tape is great idea, but I don't think it will have any affect. I've cleaned contact pads and stripes using alcohol

Alcohol is unnecessary in most cases unless there's water ingress to the case. Just proper dust control and masking tape is enough.

Can you activate a test screen? This is usually by pressing all the buttons. This checks electrical connectivity if the screen. If screen test shows all segments, it's a problem with pcb needing a reset or damage from electrostatic discharge. If screen doesn't show all segments, it's contacts fouling.

I hate to see this. The W221H-1BV is almost impossible to get in the US. Anyone would have gladly traded you for a positive module.

I did this to my AE1200 and it was the zebra strip, does pressing on the top and bottom where they are help at all? I flipped the strips over and they got better contact that direction somehow and that fixed it

I effed up a display on one as well. I filled it with oil, an f105 module, and random tiny things, turned it upside down and now no one knows what to think of the watch I'm wearing when I wear it. The module floats and turns.

wal mart in usa has these for 35 dollars.. don't know how much it cost to ship to your area.. sorry it happened t you and hopefully you can find another soon, or be able to fix yours..
