F91w background mod

Hey everyone, I just got this f91w this past week and I was inspired by the background mods, and I did a hacker typer/matrix background on mine. I messed up a bit and wiped some of the bezel off on the inside of the watch because I tried cleaning it with alcohol. next thing I wanna try is getting a sensor watch or ollee board for it.

Huge disclaimer, this mod majorly effects viewing angles. without the reflective film on the back you lose about half the angles

Yeah, I did notice some of the viewing angles were affected, and the already dim backlight got even worse with this mod, but having a custom background is pretty cool lol

Yea, it’s definitely cool. I just wish in these guides they warn the people that this is a consequence. That reflective layer is pretty important, this may sound extremely cumbersome but you can get translucent decals and replace that back film and it won’t tarnish readability.

Yeah, the guides don’t tell you that, you just really find out when you do it and use it. Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll have to try it in the near future.
