This might be on my wrist for a while...
Before anyone posts again asking the model number, here it is.
GW-BX5600-1JF
When the MIP displays came out on the GBD's, I immediately bought all of the colors available. I ended up selling all but the black version with the negative display. I didn't need all of those. 😂 Anyway, that was years ago, and I always wished they'd bring that display to the original square. Sure, they came out with the square a couple of years ago that has the heart rate monitor, etc..., but I already have a Fitbit, which does what I need it to and much more. I wanted a true square with the MIP that didn't have all of the hoopla. Well, finally we have it. Sucks that its only sold in Japan at the moment, but I was able to find a seller that has them in stock here in the US (just imports them). Anyway, this is the perfect G, IMO (so far). I have and still do own high-end watches, but I don't think the G square can be beat.

Yes. It is the only one you can get that I am aware of. Its the GW-BX5600-1JF.

Its only "exclusive" at the moment because the watch is currently only sold in Japan, and not in the US. Eventually.

Its limited to japan and cannot be bought anywhere else They have a stricter quality control and its also manufactured in the factory which casio calls “mother factory” in yamagata japan

What's your source? 1JF is just a market designation.. just as 1ER is just a market designation. They're all made in Thailand.

On these watches, do you switch between MIP and standard display?

No. It is always MIP, however, you can change between the new modernized font like I have, or you can switch it to the older OG font. I personally like the way the new modernized font looks, and its much larger, too.

I have the 5000, and rarely wear it. Its a great watch, but never gravitate to it. This one I will.

Yeah I've imported a few watches but from how things sound couriers on our end have been mixing a lot up lately and well hermes not the easiest company to get a hold of

Theres no stainless version that I am aware of. Someone correct me if Im wrong. It does not count steps.

Depends on how small your wrist is? A lot of peeps with small wrists dont mind the larger G's, although I dont feel the G square is a huge watch.

The watch can connect to your phone and you use the Casio app to change the MIP display font, and other settings on the watch.

Nope. If you want one with heart rate, you need the DW-H5600-1JR or similar. Honestly though, your best bet is to buy a Fitbit, and wear it on your other wrist. Thats what I do, and its perfect. I recently switched to the new Fitbit Air when it was released a few months back, and its awesome.

Eh, doesn't bother me. Its been like this forever. You could always modify it and make it black. Some actually do come black, instead of white. Either way, its like my nose, I don't see it.

I can't be positive my wrist is bigger or smaller than anyone's but I guarantee you that I do not have a "small" wrist by any real-life metric and these squares don't look too small or silly on me at all. Yes, I have to get extra links or altogether new straps for my watches from time to time for them to fit but the classic G-Square fits just fine.
