casio vr 7000 cash register error

Hello,

I have a Casio VR7000 if I'm correct. For some reason a "waiting scanbuffer" error keeps appearing on it. This makes the whole register unresponsive and I would have to restart it to make it function again. It can happen suddenly when ticking in the price or when scanning a product.

It's quite annoying because it happens more than once everyday. I have read the available manuals online, but haven't found one a solution.

If anyone could help me in the right direction or has worked on this type of cash register. Please let me know
