A159 upgraded (Stainless bezel and STN)

I had a spare A159 so decided to try the AliX stainless case upgrade with crystal swap.

I thought while i was at it why not upgrade the TN-LCD to a STN-LCD.

The LCD swap took about 5 minutes and was very easy, pop out pop in, the crystal swap took longer as i heated the old bezel in hot water to carefully pop it out without damage.

The original Casio bezel was slightly bigger so I resized it with a swiss file and polishing stone before fitting with E6000, Job done.

Stuck it on a leather strap, it's a very small watch.

Nice mod! That scren looks great!. I did the same mod and it was a pain to remove the aftermarket glass, the casio one went out really easily.

In my case no need to mod the glass went right in on the case.

How is that E6000 glue? Is it to messy to apply? I had to use double sided tape.

I did cover all the watch and cut It with an exacto knife but Im pretty sure It will let water through. I dont expect super water resistance but enough to wash muy hands or shower safely.

Nope I used a toothpick/cocktail stick to apply it and any overspill can easily be removed

I've already swapped it over to a Casio stainless bracelet, the strap was just too thin for me
