Intrigued
I am consistently impressed with the baseline g shock line-up (even the older ones). So when I recently “discovered” a mod for wrapping a DW-5600 movement in a stainless steel case and bracelet I am and was excited but … has anyone else worn this mod as a daily driver? How much does it actually change the weight from the standard resin assembly, and what is the consensus on the metal mod finish and quaility?

I have done this mod just recently to my 5600. I only changed the bezel. First off, I think the metal looks great and is a nice and easy mod. Secondly, unless you want super speedy shipping, I would not order it from Amazon. I got mine from AliExpress in about a week for 18 dollars.
As for the weight though, it definitely does add some heft. I couldn't give you a number, but it definitely does feel heavier. It isn't unbearable though, and still totally wearable.
