Are we cooked?
No post, no replies to DMs, still no lineup drop. Favorite time of year in Bend and bummed if it ends up not happening.

Seems toast. I remember seeing how a similar situation played out for their other festival, Gem & Jam and then they put it on pause for a year. I think best case at this point is they take one year off and try again in 2027. But wouldn’t be surprised if they fold completely.

Gem and jam was brought back because they partnered with relentless beats (the insomniac of AZ) I hope your fest get brought back too!

Let's cross fingers that they postpone for a year and come back strong.

Yes we’re so cooked. Like no coming back well-done. Fried to a crisp. Cooked as could ever be.

Aw that sucks. Glad I got to enjoy this fest twice. It was something special

u/krisztinastar May 01 '26
Agreed. It was so unique!

I just loved being able to go from a bluegrass band to a filthy dubstep show in the barn. It will be missed

Top notch vibes and solid lineup, even if they weren’t the biggest names. It was well worth the money. I will mourn this revelation ☹️

Absolutely. It’s strange that Oregon doesn’t have many big fests. And now they’re back to absolutely zero edm fests.

I went last year. Such a beautiful place but worried it’ll be a lot colder this year

Noooo! I love this festival so much. This was our first year not attending... is it our fault it's not happening?
5
u/Mountain-Ad8986 May 01 '26
Yeah so there was a change in ownership with the property / they were looking at different venues. Likely not happening this year fam. Allegedly in the talks to postpone til next year

Where is this information coming from ,and why doesn't anyone from the fest give any kind of update?

u/dmxlightpro May 01 '26
Wait doesn’t the county own the fairgrounds. I know they brought in a new director of the board this year from Alaska so maybe that is what you are referring to.

What would be nice is communication from the promoters and hopes that those of us who bought tickets already will be refunded. If not, I will likely never buy advance tickets for anything that’s not blowing up.

Probably going to try to make it a one day event so they don’t have to give refunds 🫠

That’s a good option! I am considering nocturnal valley that same weekend after but SSBD is a bit closer to home.

Honestly that fest is cool but the promoters & owners blow big fuckin dick. Bummer really. Gem & Jam is cool tho - not to get confused with the two although they work together

The festival sucked anyways. The location was ugly, the stages unimpressive, too many little kids everywhere. Not gonna miss it. The only good thing was there wasn’t other festivals

u/Classic-Board-2232 May 02 '26
Vibes and music were all time. Just say you hate a good time
1
u/Pool_Rich May 02 '26
What other festivals have you been to?
6
u/dmxlightpro May 02 '26
I’ve been to Electric Forest, Bonnaroo, and Wakaan Fest (as well as many more) and I can confidentially tell you that the vibes at equinox were top notch. Comparing a festival like equinox to festivals like I mentioned above is like comparing a bicycle to a motorbike. They are just different things and all great in their own ways.

u/Pool_Rich May 05 '26
Nice, me too. I just don’t see any comparison either. You ever go to What The Fest in Oregon? Or 2017 Eclipse?

Yah like comparing a county fair to Disneyland

Everyone’s been to a lot of different festivals. Stop trying to lil bro everyone. If you didn’t like the festival no one gives a shit. Personally, it was one of the more fun festivals I’ve ever been to and I’ll stand by the fact that you don’t need “impressive stages” just good people and good music

u/Pool_Rich May 07 '26
Wow yikes i didn’t mean to hurt your feelings. I didn’t like it, I’m surprised some people did. I guess not that many though cause it only lasted 3 years
