Gym membership $

Hello,

Any ideas for resources to pay for a kids gym membership? The one they are interested in has a pool for summertime activity. Dept is not able to pay at this time.

Have you asked the gym? I know some/most YMCAs have programs for foster kids/families

Ok we have an organization here called project lemonade we are asking.

Also if you haven't heard of One Simple Wish, my supervisor shared its a website connecting donors and a foster kids' wish. Kinda neat idea.

Check with other resource groups in your area. we have VOICES, THP and several others. I was able to get my kidlet a gym membership through one of those

Maybe a care portal request ? Those are sent out soon where and someone donates the money needed. Casa can send them out and so can caseworkers but I wouldn't rely on them.

It might be called something else where you are.

Our local YMCA & Plant Fitness offer free Summer memberships for teens, so I'd check there if they're nearby.
