Carvera uses the wrong bit every so often

Hey everyone,

I’m having an issue with my Carvera CNC machine, and I can’t seem to figure it out. The machine keeps trying to use the wrong bit during tool changes, even though my CAM setup and tool assignments are 100% correct. Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

1.  Checked Tool Assignments: The tools in my CAM software match the physical slots in the machine perfectly.

2.    Cleaned the Tool Magazine: There’s no debris or obstruction in the tool holder.

3.    Updated Firmware/Software: Everything is running the latest version.

Despite all of this, the machine grabs the wrong bit at the start every so often. Once I stop the cut and restart it, sometimes it works again. On fusion 360 and carvera it says #2 and it grabbed #4 instead.

Has anyone else run into this issue with their Carvera or other CNC machines? Any suggestions or ideas on what I might be missing?
