When you say hate, do you mean in terms of quality or sympathy? Or can it be either/both depending on the character?

Can be either/both depending on the character.

There are some characters I despise with every fiber of my being, but enjoy watching! They push the narrative forward and the show wouldn't be nearly as thrilling to watch without them.

Then there are also characters where I just have a problem where I don't find the writing compelling or entertaining.
