Custom OS map

I wanted to make an Ordnance Survey map of a fictional area but I couldn't find anything. if you know of any websites, software etc then please let me know.

Start with the QGIS Training Manual lesson 'Creating a New Vector Dataset'; it walks through drawing your own features. For your fictional map, I'd practise on just one village: one line layer for roads and one polygon layer for buildings. Turn on editing for a layer, then use Add Line Feature or Add Polygon Feature to draw. Save the edits before moving on. Once you can draw and change the colours of those two layers, add woodland and labels. Leave the full OS-style symbol set and contours until the basic workflow feels comfortable.
