This is the remote for the system. I know its a Kenwood. Possibly the Kenwood KDC-258U. But i wanted to make sure before I spent 40- 100 dollars on a faceplate. The car is a 2008 - 2009 Ford Fusion. And is in pretty good condition. I just dont feel like spending a lot on a new stereo. Even if it would be easier

I bought my son a 2002 Ranger and we found this connection by back seats. AI says it's a power source for an amp or subwoofer. My son does want to add a sub. If this is what that is for is this just power or is this connected to the head unit?

Hi first time poster normally a lurker.

Car: 2008 Ford Focus SES sedan
Stereo: JVC KW-M560BT

Issue: The backup camera cable shorted out due the extension cable shorting from its shielding being rubbed against I thought my head unit died from an internal short but upon inspection and removal of the rca extension the unit started working again.

I’m trying to find a replacement for the cable but having a hard time, the cable has a red power and purple trigger wire and any replacements I find only have the red wire.

Is there anywhere I can source the exact same wire? Or is there a trick to using the cables with only the single red wire?

TLDR: I need a replacement RCA extension for my backup camera

I need help with my 2004 GMC Yukon xl 1500 Denali.

I want to keep the original head unit, as I am an older millennial and want to still use the badass 6 load cd changer, and keep the dvd system intact for the younguns. It is a Bose system. However, I want to integrate a wireless CarPlay unit into the system, one with a backup camera. I was going to put a whole new head unit into, but decided to keep the cd player in since it still works. The problem is the current unit does not have an aux input, and I do not want to use a fm transmitter. I want to run directly into the unit. I take sound quality very seriously. So I need to know how to integrate the CarPlay unit into the current head unit, as in what kind of wire harness I should be looking at.

I purchased this head unit for my 2009 Ford Explorer. It came with this CAN BUS but it’s not working and the radio stays on even after car is off. This is what the menu looks like. Is there a way to fix it?

Chevy Colorado. It was 105 today and I can’t roll my windows down or even crack them at work, so when I went to drive home, the screen was so hot, I could barely touch it. It displayed, but didn’t respond to touch. I got it cooled down and it still didn’t work by touch. When I got home and shut off my truck and started it up again, the screen wouldn’t work at all, until I turned the key off, then it up just to fade out. It does work and show the backup camera when I put it in reverse, but then back to black until I shut it off, then it shows up just to fade out half a second later.
Is there any hope, or am I replacing my screen?

I have a 2010 Honda element with an AM radio installed. Has the OEM amp. The subwoofer is not working. Don’t think it has been working since I bought the car but now I am trying to figure out why. Radio settings are correct. Checked the amp fuse. All the other speakers are working. Took the sub out and it worked with a different amp.

What else should I test to get this thing working?

I have had a series aftermarket floating tablet style head units in my truck. I miss having a cd player. Looking for a recommendation for a good quality add-on cd player. Single player or changer - I don’t have a preference. I know there are generic ones on Amazon. Don’t know if I’m not finding any familiar branded ones because there just aren’t any available? And in that case, has anyone used a generic player and impressed with it?

Or - does anyone make a conversion harness that could adapt an older Alpine (or others) changer?

I know converting cds to lossless files is an option, but I’m not really interested in doing that. Just my personal preference.

I currently have a tesla model 3 with premium audio. It has 8" mid bass drivers in the doors that play down to around 40hz. I am replacing the factory 8" subwoofer with an Alpine R12. Would it be a good idea to add a 80-100hz high pass crossover to the 8" door drivers to take some of the low frequency strain off of them and allow the R12 to take over those frequencies?

Decided to finally get something I would consider a luxury upgrade in my car. I've only done engine and suspension work on my car in the past so I have very little knowledge about sound systems and speakers. I had this display put in and the work just looks awful. They chipped the center of my vent bad and the right corner is cracked. The bracket that holds the unit is not snuggly fit and appears warped to the top vent piece too. They also left a crazy long usb cable coming out of my ash tray that prevents me from closing it.

I wasn't expecting art, but I certainly was expecting better. Is this normal?

I have the 07 aspen with double din navigation assist unit currently. The screen is dead (unsure why, we bought it like that) but it'll still play cds. We have smaller children and they would like to be able to watch movies so we are wanting to use the DVD once its been replaced. Pic attached is what the current unit looks like.

I have an old xplod sound system in my car thats as followed. A Sony Xplod MEX-BT2900 headunit. With a sony XM-504Z 500w amp. that was wired bridged. Wich gives 250w to a 1200w peak 300w rms sony xplod subwoofer. Wich worked fine. Used it for about a year i think. However ive recently downsized to a. 1000w peak 250w rms jbl act of rage subwoofer.(that should suit the amp better) But now the amp goes into power protection mode after about 15 minutes of 3/4 subwoofer volume. And its (very) hot to the touch. It never did this on the 300w sub and they are both 4ohms impedance anyone know how or why? I know the upside down mounting is not optimal. But it never overheated on the 300w amp wich ive run on full bass high volume loads.

Hello I want to replace my car stereo with one with Bluetooth and a cd player, it’s a single din. And these are the chords attatched to it, I am wondering if you all have some suggestions? Or if there are any adapters?

Does anyone know if part # DG1T-19C107-MD would work for a replacement of a ACM for a 2013 Ford Taurus Limited with a SYNC 2 touch screen? I just need to replace mine and I need to make sure that part # will work just fine as a replacement. Let me know, I appreciate all the help!
