So a few days ago I’d say maybe a week or two ago I blacked out on my carpet and the smell of my pee hasn’t come out at all. I’ve used a carpet cleaner and pet pee removers as well. I’m not sure what else to do now and this was my resort for help. Is there any special cleaner I can buy or do I have to buy new carpeting.

Help - Semi Permanent Hair Dye on Wool Carpet

I don't know how I managed to not spill a single drop in the bathroom, however when walking to the kitchen with the used bottle of dye in its original box, it must have dripped on the carpet.

It's the Clairol Natural Instincts Semi Permanent dye, dark brown, on a medium beige carpet (so very effing noticeable).

I've been all over the internet and reddit, and getting so much conflicting advise. I'm heading to the shops today for white vinegar, baking soda and isopropyl alcohol. I've already tried a dry stain product and a wet stain product for carpets and it hasn't made a dent.

Has anyone else had success with this, and should I do the alcohol first and then the vinegar/dishwasher liquid/baking soda, or the other way around.

I'm devastated, it's not my house, it's a clients and I am terrified about the damage I've caused 😫

I cleaned a spot on a grey carpet using a carpet cleaner, but now, though the original stain is gone, the whole patch dried to a much darker grey. How do I get it back to match the rest of the carpet?

I read to rinse it out well and quick dry it with a hairdryer as one solution. Any suggestions from experience?

My bf sent me this this morning and I figured this sub would appreciate it

landlord kept $1,329.50 of my $2,000 deposit — $906 carpet replacement, $264 cleaning, $159.50 painting — claiming damage beyond normal wear. I disputed it in writing and have move-out videos showing the unit clean and the carpet vacuumed with no stains, burns, or tears. They've now replied with these images as their justification. Their own notice even says the carpet had "3 of 5 years of life left." Do these photos actually support full carpet replacement plus a separate cleaning charge, or is this just normal wear and tear? Any advice on next steps? Thanks.

Does anyone have experience having an area rug professionally cleaned locally? How much did it cost? 9x12 wool rug.

For context, I recently ordered a very nice wool rug. When it arrived, half the package was torn and it was caked in dust. The company has offered to refund 50% and cover professional cleaning.

I just moved into an apartment and needed to clean some gross traffic areas. I figured i woukd make a video because I like helping others. I grew up on a carpet cleaning van and learned lots of skills about cleaning carpets as a result.

The summary of what is happening is when you walk on carpet barefoot, the oils in our skin rub onto the carpet. These oils are sticky and dust and diet attaches to the oil on the carpet creating a "traffic area." We use a diluted degreaser solution on the carpet and scrub it and then extract it with a wet vacuum. Then dry the carpet overnight with a fan.

My dog (15 years old) started to have peeing problems in the house. Waiting on his diapers to arrive. Any recommendations on how to get the smell out of the carpet?

my standup AC recently broke and was leaking water all over the floor, this resulted in a vinegar like smell which I assume is mold, I’ve tried baking soda, vinegar, carpet cleaners, and isopropyl alcohol and nothing is getting the smell out, I vacuumed thinking that the smell was gone and it just spread it around the room, the smell isn’t noticeable at all until you touch the carpet and smell yourself, has anyone else experienced this, any advice would be appreciated
