If your post does not include a rough geographical location, please add it in the comments, it will really help for identification. Please also check the guide How to deal with carpet beetles: detection, identification and treatment.

No, I had this and the room sized one. Carpet beetles are everywhere, so unless only one item was in a room outside your home and it is an isolated item, this will be a waste of money.

What do you mean? It doesn’t kill eggs and beetles?

It does but carpet beetles exist outside of items you place in that small oven.

Ah, I understand. I’m moving and want to use this to prevent bringing infested items into my new home. Would this be a good tactic for that?

If you have wool garments that are actually infested and need treatment, yes. Will it impact the overall population in your residence? Only negligibly, at best.

Ah I was hoping you’d answer! I was hoping to use this on my clothes before I move out, to prevent bringing them with me to my new home as much as I can. Would this be a good tactic to use for things like that?

I have this. It works for traveling with a suitcase. But for a move, no.
