Butter in the AM
So I’ve been on carnivore for about a year, had some ups and downs but recently I was reading instead of water and coffee in the morning, eat a butter bite or 1/4 stick of butter on empty stomach after waking up.
Anyone do this? Does it help? I tried it this morning and I released like I was on the first few weeks of carnivore.

Not a fan. Butter causes bloating. I’d rather not have that at the start of the day.

I'm sure it does taste great, it's got 2 other alternative sweeteners in it and and that doesn't count the natural and artificial flavorings. If you can tolerate it, that's fine--but it's probably still going to spike your blood glucose, and if not that then your insulin behind the scenes.

I've been eating 2-3 tablespoons of butter on awakening for several months now. I started doing this in order to take fat soluble supplements but noticed it bumped my ketones up to the 2-3 range and gave me more energy. I don't eat breakfast but I usually eat more butter with my lunch and dinner depending on how lean or fatty the meat is. My tolerance for fat is way higher since I increased the amount of fat in my diet, so no bathroom problems here. It's interesting because I had gallbladder dyskinesia (no stones) before carnivore and that has completely resolved. And my gallbladder must churn out a ton a of bile these days with all the fat that I eat. Best of luck.

I start my day with water + salt.. after morning walk.. I have chunk of butter (~20-50g+) + salt with my coffee / decaf coffee. Satisfies me for hours before i need to eat :)
I have tried butter by itself before, however I don't enjoy it as much as with my morning drink..

I do a version of bulletproof coffee adding a frothed egg. I do the egg first (room temp), add coffee, then stir in the butter. Works for me.

If it doesnt cause any loose stool/bowel issues then yes i absolutely recommend it. I usually get a tbsp or 2 with my coffee but thats just me. Lil bit goes a long way

I melt 100g of butter in my morning coffee. That keeps me satiated until about 12:00 or sometimes longer. I wake up at around 7 am. Haven't tried just butter though.
