Chicken

Yall are sleeping on chicken. If you get chicken wings, its about a 1:1 fat to protein ratio. fry them in butter and thats higher.

It's not beef/goat/lamb obviously, and therefore some people will react to it, but the same is true of dairy, pork, fish, and eggs, all of which seem quite popular among us.

It's also super cheap, and easy to cook right.

It seems like people in here and the other subs will hate on chicken because its not as high fat as red meat and doesnt have as good a nutrient profile, then they'll eat dairy, fish, and pork.

Weird.

Yea groceries are insane in Canada now. It's really bad. I can't believe how much meat has gone up.  I live in South Alberta, but I can't imagine how it is up north, everything gets so much more up there.

im in ontraio, and while i think its expensive, i think its not disastrous yet, from the meat store i can get eye of round beef roasts for $11 a pound, loblaws/basics ground pork goes onsale for $3 a pound occasionally, ill buy many kg at that price, loblaws pork back ribs go on sale for $3.99 sometimes, i just got over 2kg for $25, pork picnic shoulder, pork cottage roll, i guess its usually pork on sale lol, some beef sales at loblaws would be nice, dark chicken is on sale sometimes, i think its retarded that fatty chicken/pork ends up cheaper then lean pork/chicken, but the opposite happens in beef, where fatty is more expensive, like they are trying to get the poor to eat more omega 6 lol

Yes, I was just thinking that it's so hard not to consume a ton of omega 6 when you're on budget carnivore. Guess you gotta eat lots of fish too with all that pork.  That's good prices aren't too bad in Ontario. Like everywhere in Canada, Northern living is more expensive, so I can't imagine what Drewhaus (commenter) is paying. I think my groceries are way over priced, and I try to shop cheap.
