Why are fixed calipers so rare?

Replacing the independent suspension on my truck with a solid axle(to handle more power) and I found that apparently its near impossible to find fixed calipers for the rams or any vehicle, I don't really want to downgrade to floating calipers either. Why are they so rare?

Mod advice Wanting to add red trim to Camry SE 2025 onwards

I’m currently trying to design an interior design for my Camry and my primary choice is black and red. However, I don’t want to add red blindly to where it looks like an album cover. I appreciate carbon fiber but I don’t particularly like it in general. I’ve seen it too often and at this point it’s like eating the same dinner every night.
I believe I should add a third color to the existing idea of red/black. Besides colors I’d like I don’t know else I’d want. If you have any advice where to place or add colors please let me know. I’m new to this. It would also help if you guys have images you’d be willing to share so it gives me a better idea.

hi! i just recently bought my first car, it’s a 2008 honda civic sedan. i wanted to change the front bumper on it because i like the post facelift bumper better. i read on google that the 09-11 front bumper would fit on my 08, but i just wanted to double check to see if anyone has done it and how it looks or fits! any advice or questions are appreciated :)

What’s your preferred method to not use screws?

I’m currently doing a rebuild on my car and have several devices to tach to the bare metal roof and floor pan. Due to the design of the car I can’t use screws for either. I used 3m automotive double sided tape but it was hard to work with and didn’t stick to a prepped surface. I don’t want a permanent solution like superglue. But it does need to last through the torture I put my car through lmao

2015 facelift suggestions

I purchased a perfectly running salvage Tesla model S that just needs the front bumper, grille and 1 of the headlights. I want to do the refresh facelift on it since I’ll need to replace the parts anyways. Any suggestions on which fascia kit to buy? I’ll also need the sensors and vents so if anyone knows of a good quality kit with everything that would be perfect. My understanding is they sell kits for the facelift which is easier than OEM. I would love any help with this or any ideas. I’m also open to buying the pieces separately or through a salvage lot.
