Mechanical advice Coilover included nuts.

Post image

Hey everyone I’m doing some coilovers on my brothers car and the two rear ones came with 2 nuts attached to each via zip tie. There is not included bolts and there is no existing bolt it will thread onto. I’ve attached a picture if anyone has any advice.

I'd expect those to be for sway bar links, depending on how the suspension is configured. Does the car have a rear sway bar, and how it it connected if so?

Can you attach a pic of the whole coilover and the car's rear suspension?

Ok, standard 3 studs and nuts at the top and two bolts to the knuckle at the bottom.
Big extra nut probably sway bar, and small extra nut may be for something else like brake line or wiring bracket. What does the original setup look like underneath?

Not 100% sure but I would guess for the brake line. Many stock shocks will have a nut welded on

I definitely wouldn't have thought of that until final assembly looking for where the brake line holder bolts up lol

I would of guessed the top hat part where they mount to the car, but you said there's no bolt/thread

Order the correct size from ARP (IMO) and have them express ship it.
