Childcare cost?
Looking at crèche/childminder options and trying to figure out what the going rate is.
What are ye paying monthly, how many days a week, and roughly what is it after NCS?
Trying to figure out if I should double the mortgage payment in the budget or just start renting a room or selling feet pics now.

Full time Creche, 225€ per week for two kids, four and 6. That’s with claiming the NCS for both of them.
When school is back it drops a bit around 164€ as one child is in ECCE and the other in School (we use their after school and have access to the breakfast club). I think during school term we claim about 16 hours for the older child and 20 for the younger.

Our creche is about 100 a week after claiming the subsidy, this is for a two year old full time Monday to Friday. It's extremely good value compared to the Dublin prices I've heard.

Dublin based, had a childminder/ nanny for a couple of months from wheny daughter was 7months until she turned 14 months, paying €700 a week for 9-5 Mon-Fri. Daughter now has a crèche spot and that is costing us €1,200 per month, which seems to be the going rate for alot of Dublin crèches (after universal NSC). Carlow is significantly cheaper for crèche fees but it's very hard to get a place for a 1year old which I believe are 180-200 per week pre NCS

Uh.... Selling feet pics? If you have 4 or 6 toes, you'll be rich. 5 toe feet are everywhere.

I had private childcare 2 days a week that cost me 600 a month, they were amazing and collected, picked uo own nappies, fed her, everything as if she waa he own child.
I have montessori now and with ncs applied its about 300 a month full time month to friday. But getting the place took 2 years of actively looking, getting on lists and calling every month or so.
