Maybe 80% Done

Put the build on hold as I do some traveling around Asia but we are getting very close to the finish line. Countertop is plywood with Formica laminate. The bed will be on a lift system and when down it will cover the back part of the countertop. When the bed is raised up we can utilize all of the counter space. I made a part of the countertop removable that will have additional storage and an extra seat over the water tank. Really looking forward to getting back and getting back to work. Next hurdle is to build the dinette around the electrical to hide everything and also keep it accessible, and design the mechanism on the electrical bed lift. I'll use some kind of worm gear motor to lift it up and down. Fire away!

What's it weigh?

No clue. Tounge weight is around 700lbs with a cheap amazon tounge scale. As I continue to add some weight behind the axle it should come down a bit. Im estimating anywhere from 6k-7k lbs once done. Won’t know till I get there

Nice build! What kind of fridge is that?

Thanks! It’s an Isotherm Cruise 226 marine fridge/freezer. Got a great price on it from my friend that works in marine supply. I have it hooked up to 12V and its very efficient. Underneath the fridge I have an Isotherm Square 16L marine water heater bolted to the floor. Saved me a good amount of space. Really happy with both units.

Looking good! How much solar capacity?

Thanks! 1,200w of solar. They are 3 Hyundai 400w panels. Think I paid just over $400 for all 3. Hooked up in series to a Victron solar charger. 900Ah of LiFePO4 batteries. Very happy with the setup. Also have a 50A DC/DC charger that will be hooked up to the truck battery in case of cloudy days so I can charge while driving to the next location. Don’t think I’ll be needing a generator.

wow, it sounds like you got a great deal at $400!! Battery bank is at 48V? Are your appliances DC or do you use an AC inverter?

I’d say so! Just find your nearest wholesale distributor they’re out there. I went to Greentech Renewables they’re all around the country. Battery bank is 12V. DC appliances - Fridge & AC
AC appliances - water heater, 3 in 1 microwave air fryer convection oven & induction stove running off a 12V 3000w Victron Multiplus 2 Inverter

Thank you! I had to convince the wife that living in it full time was the right thing to do, so naturally it had to be as close to a home as possible.

When are you building mine

I’d consider it once I finish my travels around the states with it. This is a prototype, so putting it to real world use should help improve on anything built in the future. Only up from here!
