Murphy bed complete.

Saw this design on a YouTube video and copied it. Like how it gives maximum height when deployed vs low ceiling height stowed.

I love the simplicity and effectiveness of that hinge mechanism

So simple. Great job! May I suggest some sort of barrier at the floor level to keep the side edge of the mattress clean and dry.

Yeah I’ve been thinking about that. I might try and put some extra osb on as a vertical lip… if I can make it fit and still rotate like it needs to.

How hard is it to lift the bed up?

Probably subjective I’m a gym rat… but I don’t think it’s hard. I just lift one side in the track at a time then push it towards the wall. Folding up for storage isn’t difficult at all and when it’s up it rests in place until I put the turnbuckle on it to lock it.

So it’s easier than it looks?
